1. This shit's probably over in 6. Sorry folks.
2. "Just one of those nights" is a bullshit excuse in the context of this series. Ibaka has completely dismantled our offense.
3. Duncan's days as an elite player are basically over. He can't score on their bigs, can't defend the drive. Playing against Dalembert/Lopez he was fine, but he's been a net negative for us after Game 1 of this series. They are driving over him easily and he can't score. That's game over.
4. 2013 Finals Tiago is back. He's useless against more athletic players. Pump fakes don't do shit against the Thunder D.
5. Once again: Ibaka is indisputably the most important player in this series. His presence has completely changed every dynamic of this series.
6. No player on our roster is capable of stopping Westbrook if he's playing aggressively and intelligently. We essentially have to root for him to beat himself.
7. Tony is unplayable if Ibaka is on the court. If he is going to be a ball-stopper that doesn't actually look to score, he will be a net negative every single possession.
8. Turns out Belinelli can't guard Durant in crucial stretches. I'm glad Pop had to try this out before he was sure.
9. Cojo is better for this series than Mills.
10. Duncan and Tiago's lack of effort on the defensive glass means that we're going to have to go deeper down our bench. Do you start Diaw or Bonner? Give minutes to Daye?...
11. Unless Pop makes a major adjustment this series is done. With Ibaka on the floor nobody is going to the paint, which means you have to give minutes to players that can at least try to score from the perimeter. Parker is useless if he isn't scoring in the paint/midrange.
12. Spurs basically have to root for someone to go on fire from three. KD/Westbrook will outscore us every single game that Ibaka plays.
13. The refs are absolutely not conspiring against us. The FTA discrepancy has everything to do with Ibaka's presence neutering our offense.
14. Pop isn't prepared to make major adjustments and neither is this team. His "adjustment" this game was to throw in the towel mid-third. Great.
15. If the Spurs are going to win another game in this series they will have to score from the perimeter more points than KD/WB score from the paint/line. This Spurs team is absolutely incapable of scoring in the paint vs. Ibaka.
Night folks.
