I have a gift card, but don't know what to order.
What is good? What would you get there, and why?
I will be alone since my wife is not able to go.

I don't really eat at places like that unless I'm traveling, but if I have to, I usually just order a burger.

Getting out of there is the best thing to get...But if you must, usually like ^^ said--I usually just get a appetizer and a blue moon or something simple.

You should be able to use that at Macaroni Grill or On The Border. They're better than Chili's. Just don't expect Red Lobster.

There's another Chili's up 281 at Stone Oak Pkwy.

I like the southwestern egg rolls and a presidente Margarita, but that's about it

After living in the UK for a year and eating shitty British food, I thoroughly enjoyed the Chili's in Dubai. Along with Outback, Texas Roadhouse, Pei Wei, Johnny Rockets, Applebees. Only American food here is the fast food joints. Chili's (and other middle of the road American restaurants) tastes great when normally forced to choose between bland bangers and mash, or curry. I freaking hate curry. Man, I freaking ate better in Kuwait last week than I do in the UK. Pitiful...

I wouldn't know but I'll take your word on it. I've gotten some dirty looks from people when the chef comes out to greet me and suddenly there's a table open for me and they've been waiting for half an hour or so. You don't have to be rich for that to happen, you just have to frequent certain restaurants. If it's chef owned, that chef knows you and they often take care of their best customers.

Same here. I usually just breeze through and shoot a fart at the saps waiting for a table. If they get too uppity, I'll just turn, bow up, and give them the look that says, "yeah...I'm rich...but I can make it rain with my fists as well". They stand there praying for a friend to pull them out of the oncoming beating. I just tip my imaginary hat..."gentlemen, enjoy your wait"...and head to my table over in the corner that overlooks the lake.

wot??? RL is one of the best of the chains and the best in the seafood business. Unless you go down to the coast, you'll have a hard time finding better seafood in Texas.
It's also got a decent atmosphere. I pretty rarely go out in anything other than shorts and t shirt but I'll throw on some Dockers and a button down if we're going to the Lobster.

Man, Outback blows. For the same price Texas Land and Cattle just shits all over them. Every time I have gone to Outback and ordered my steak rare I get the piece of shit medium. I agree about Saltgrass and also about Texas Roadhouse, both are pretty good. But a really good strip sirloin can be gotten at Red Lobster surprising enough. I usually get that with the lobster and a baked potato whenever I go there.

I wasn't impressed at all by Texas Roadhouse. I can't stand it when I order a steak bloody and it's brown inside.

Just checked their menu and it's pretty similar prices to Texas Land and Cattle. Is Saltgrass better, comparable, or worse than TXLC?

TXLC had a smoked sirloin I would get there for lunches that was awesome. Haven't been in a while but it is by far my favorite thing on either menu.

Don't let a shitty ass cook ruin it for them, has it happened more than once? I ordered the Porterhouse from there once, and it was fucking amazing

First off, R.I.P xmas1997

Second..

:lmao Chili's god this shit sucks now. They think they're Mexican food now? The menu is trash, all the old stuff that used to be good like the honey chicken crispers or whatever, and the philly cheese steak.. all off the menu in favor of "top shelf enchiladas" and fucking macaroni and cheese with fucking jalapenos in it.. what the fuck, what kind of mac and cheese has jalapenos in it by default..

I'll go here for a beer on lunch break, and thats about it.
