Seriously wtf are you guys talking about ? I keep hearing people on this board say that Duncan should retire when the spurs win a title or at least make an appearance in the conference finals, otherwise ''he wouldn't be going out with dignity'' ... how about shut the f**k up ... Duncan should retire when he doesn't want to play anymore and not before ... and whether the spurs make it to the finals that year or not has nothing to do with his dignity, the man has won 4 nba titles, 3 finals MVP's and 2 regular MVP's, he has been a great basket-ball player, and even more importantly, a great human being for all of his career ... he's going out with dignity whatever happens in his last year

There is a saying in the airline industry that "a pilot is only as good as his last landing". Robinson went out with a championship and he was remembered greatly. His retirement was sad, but he went out on top, the best way to go. Tim sure as hell doesn't want his last game to be a Game 6 blowout in OKC.
