the difference now is that the team didn't let him do it alone.

Didn't know Manu played that well in 2012 although he's also fantastic tonight.

He went off, almost litterally, he gave the spurs like a 6 point advatage but it wasn't enough. That thunder team was too good.

I remember shouting so loud when he hit a 3 that gave us a lead in the 3rd.

Manu has a thing for games 5 against this franchise, tbh.

He was fouled. If he wasn't fouled, it would have been a throw down.

I was there 2 years ago...he played his heart out, the big three were alone that night for sure, still hurts that game but it can be all better if we finally beat them

i forgot he actually had a shot to tie that game... felt almost as bad for him as i did for the team when that didn't fall

Manu always seems to deliver his A game in a "Big" Game 5 in the playoffs.

2011 vs Memphis: 33 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals
2012 vs OKC: 34 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists, 2steals
2013 vs Miami: 24 points, 10 assists
2014 vs OKC: 19 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists

And he does the same in Game 7s, too.

Manu is the kind of guy whom I can never hate tbh. Dude is the biggest competitor I've ever seen in any sport.

I saw Game 5 of the Finals in person last year. Defining sports moment for me. Trashed out of my mind, crowd screaming "Manu! Manu!" louder than I've ever head the AT&T get...man. I think I will go home tonight after work and watch it again.

As much as how great games 3 and 5 were last year in the finals, I'd rather have it all erased in my mind tbh. Scarred for life.

I got my scarring out of the way early on watching the Oilers in the 90's then having our faggot owner move the team to Tennessee. Nothing really bothers me for very long now and I enjoy the good moments more.

Not gonna lie though, 6 probably would have been harder to swallow if I wasn't at Game 5. It was an emotional high like I've never experienced at a live sporting event.

It is just so hard tbh, I wonder how much harder it is to the players themselves. Even if we win it all this year, big if, last year will still and always will be in our hearts and minds.

We've got HCA and the 2-2-1-1-1 format in the Finals this year. Payback is coming.

The problem with Manu starting in '12 was it made TP passive and destroyed our bench.

This. He may make some boneheaded decisons sometimes but damn the dude is a warrior. He's one of the special ones who will always have the heart and will of a champion..

I feel ya. I was at Game 3 of the Finals last year, where Green and Neal went crazy from 3. That was the BEST game I've ever and probably will ever attend live for a very long time to come. I dropped $1,200 on 2 good lower level seats, and I gotta admit every penny was well worth it. I had a BLAST. Loudest crowd that I've been apart of live at the AT&T as well.
