Everybody is writing them off. Game won't be a blowout. Heat I think are 8 point favorites but it will be a lot closer. LeBron isn't putting up 50 tonight.

No, Lebron and company are going to finish them tonight

Pacers will win tonight.

Then the Heat will shit all over the Pacers HCA on Sunday.

Lebron doesn't need 50 or even 30 to beat this terrible Pacer team.

Their 2 wins have been directly related to Free Throws/phantom foul trouble, I doubt they receive the same preferential treatment tonight, tbh..

Pacers are dead men walking.

If you told me prior to game 5 that Paul George would score 37 while Lebron scored 7, I'd say the Pacers probably win the game by 20. The fact they only won by 3 and were a Bosh 3 pointer away from going home, tells me the Pacers simply don't have the firepower to match up with the Heat.

And if Rashard Lewis's game wasn't a fluke and he can become that extra stretch big alongside Bosh, the Heat are a lock for the title, unfortunately. Not even the Spurs (who match up well with the Heat primarily because they're so weak at the PF position [a hot Lewis changes that]) can beat them.

Rashard Lewis at his peak was completely destroyed by Lamar Odom in the 2009 Finals(SVG said it was the biggest difference in the series)..he would get dominated by Diaw, too, tbh..

lol, having a hot rashard lewis is no better than mike miller last year. a one dimensional spot up shooter is rarely considered a "matchup problem" for anybody

He would be if Gary Neal (in today's case Belinelli) is put on him.

True, but it's more how Lewis's presence opens everything up for James and Wade. He's +35 in the series over 3 games, while Haslem has been a net negative.

You're not considering how Lewis spaces the floor and complements Miami's penetration. Haslem is only good for that baseline 15-18 footer and doesn't really do anything on the defensive end anymore.

Heat big men really only function as floor spacers (aside from Andersen, who's more of a banger and their best post defender) and are not vital parts on the defensive end. The Heat always get murdered on the boards and have had zero shot blocking since '11. So Lewis being one dimensional doesn't really affect their overall dynamic, on either end. It's actually a benefit, since the Heat's offense revolves around penetration.

I agree that Lewis is a much better option than Haslem and helps Miami's spacing, but he's like Bonner was to the Spurs for years, I wouldn't have confidence in him if I was a Heat fan, tbh..

Regardless, if the Spurs can defeat OKC, I'd be very surprised if they didn't beat Miami in the Finals, and this is coming from somebody that hasn't doubted the Heat at all since Lebron joined them..it would take a historic series from Lebron IMO..

Not only do the Spurs match up well, but they would have immense confidence from beating OKC, the team that has owned them more than any other team the past few years..it's by far their biggest obstacle..

Miami plays a majority of their minutes with one big anyway. regardless of who's listed as a starter, last year it was generally something like Bosh-LeBron-Miller/Battier-Allen/Wade-Chalmers or something of the sort. rashard lewis just fills in for mike miller tbh, not somebody i'm losing any sleep over. its not like the spurs aren't equipped to deal with stretch 4's. Diaw is a perfect fit for that role and even Tiago during these playoffs has shined defensively against floor spacers like Dirk and Aldridge.

rashard is just going to set up camp in a corner on offense and will get abused defensively. he's really not a guy i'm worried about at all. to me the big issues will arrive if bosh is active and hitting a lot of outside shots. last year in the finals he was virtually a non-factor offensively. or of course if lebron goes supernova. that too

no offense to OP, but most of us figured the Pacers would get curbstomped. the league had to Stern the Pacers (OKC style) for game 5, but they're a broken team. Chemistry looks shot to hell, George is overrated, Stephenson is entertaining but acts like he got out of a cage or prison.

Yep.

He's a concern. He opens up the Heat offense much better than Haslem/Andersen.
