In all my years watching the nba i cannot think of any team having as much of a cakewalk to the Finals. Miami did not have to play even ONE good team. All the other top teams in the east would have been beat by the 8th seed in the west...like van gundy said, any of the western teams knocked out in the first round would have beat Indiana. It is brutally hard and unfair to watch the spurs have to battle good teams every round while miami can literally just coast the whole time until they meet the western team in the Finals. Can any of you think of any team, any team at all, that had such amazingly weak competition through the first 3 rounds??

The only run that was definitely weaker was the '87 Lakers..they played against a 37-win team, a 42-win team and a 39-win team to reach the Finals:lol..

The 2009 Lakers and the East finalists from 2000 to 2004 were arguably just as weak, tbh..

Those East teams in the early 2000s were truly garbage

Yea 2009 was the Year of the Injuries...where every single good team in the NBA had a major player hurt..EXCEPT for the Lakers. Despite that tho im still not sure their path was easier than miami's this year. 09 denver would have beat indiana lol.

the heat team is fake ass wanker team, they have these amazing winning streaks in t he RS, but dont sweep any team in the playoffs, while the spurs out west are sweeping teams 2x the competition heat faces in round 1+2....

yet they get push by the likes of hawks, bulls...really?

I'm not sure. If they played the Wizards instead of the Pacers then I would definitely say yes. The Pacers were the #1 seed though, so despite their bad performance, you have to count them as a good team.
