Don't sleep on the Clippers, especially with an owner willing to spend. I would have laughed at the thought last year, but the leaps Griffin and Jordan made this season were really impressive (due in no small part to having a real coach this time I would think). And maybe the Spurs can keep that window open one more year. Golden State isn't too far away if they can get a healthy run out of Bogut. Portland could make some noise with a good MLE signing while retaining Mo Williams. I guess Houston's still fucked since McHale will be back and they have no point guard though. :lol

Still, there's lots of talent in the West, and while Oklahoma will probably be the favorites to take the conference next year, they're pretty far from being overwhelming favorites.

Clips still have CP0 and will thus never make it out of the second round. Golden State will be better but I just don't see their frontline and Curry staying healthy. Portland's been down this road several times over the years and hasn't done anything. Houston fucking sucks even if McHale is fired and matches up horribly with Meth. Spurs may have another run in them next year but will need to make some personnel changes to compete with Meth next year. Out of all the West teams the only one I can see rising up to challenge Meth is the Pelicans but even they have coaching/health issues.

New Orleans doesn't have the roster to compete yet. Davis might just be good enough to drag them to a 6-8 seed (and that would be incredible), but giving Evans that retarded contract is really going to hurt them, and Gordon might be a lost cause by now after three horrible and injury plagued seasons nowhere near the level of his Clippers play. I still think Rivers will develop into a quality 6th-7th man, but he's at least a couple of years from that with his frame right now. But that's not a playoff roster with so much money tied up in Gordon and Tyreke Evans.

Oklahoma looks great on paper and really matches up well with the Spurs, but they came a fluke night from Reggie Jackson and a complete meltdown from CP0 from probably losing each of those series. They have less question marks than the Spurs, Clippers, Warriors, and Blazers likely do, but they still have plenty.

Congratulations on your win and GO SPURS GO!! Please beat the Heat!

The coaching mismatch in this series was just too much for our team to overcome. I mean really; leaving Derek Fisher in the game to defend Boris Diaw or Tim Duncan for the entire fourth quarter? Classic Scott Brooks' in-game vapor locked coaching.

We'll be back next year with a roster a little deeper on the bench (less temptation for Brooks to play the likes of Butler, Fisher and Sefolosha, letting Adams, Jones and Lamb develop during the season). I fully expect to see our role models to be there too.

Yeah next year it is a toss up between the Clips, OK, and us to go to the finals. But it is always a toss up who the Basketball Gods want to go to the finals. If the Spurs sign Diaw, Mills, and bring over Bertrans then I like our chances again.

LOL!!!! No, I meant role models. As I said earlier in this thread, our franchise is modeled after the Spurs, and that will continue as we continue to develop a deeper bench from players we have drafted (you know, The Spurs Way).

Props to Diaw for sending OKC home. He was the Ibaka neutralizer. Without Fatty's performances in this series I think things might have been much different. Fatty gets MVP of the western finals. He played a terrific game and an excellent series in general

I also think Rivers can develop into a quality 6th-7th man......for the Maine Red Claws.

What happened to Sefolosha? He used to be an elite perimeter defender, and a dependable 3 pt. shooter. I know he had a knee sprain and a calf injury this year, but his decline seemed to predate those.
