Diaw was phenomenal against lebron last year, but it would all depend on how Miami plays. If the heat opts to play Birdman and Bosh together for a good chunk of time, expect Leonard and Green to take turns with Lebron and wade.

The best thing about this spurs team is that they have so many defensive weapons. Green and Leonard are the best defensive duo in the league, and Tiago is one of the best defenders in the league even though he probably won't play that much in this series...

Bosh doesn't like to post but if its a guard then he would go at him. I could see Bonner starting, to save Diaw from having start and play 36mpg. Lewis and Bonner should cancel each other out. Green on Wade, Kawhi on Lebron. Duncan on Bosh.

I could see 12-15 minutes per game. If he can produce like 5 ppg and 4rpg on 50% and 70% from the line that is pretty solid for the minutes he'd play. Obviously he has to continue to protect the rack but is an excellent policy if Duncan gets in foul trouble.

i'd say each player guards his own position counterpart, the interesting part will be when allen and manu are on the floor.. of course, more than anything it's important that belinelli doesn't step on the floor, but other than that it's pretty open.

I would give a shot to beli in game 1. He was trash in the mavs series, good in the portland one and trash again in the OKC one.
Maybe he will be good in the Miami one

I would start with Kawhi on Lebron then mix in Diaw to give Lebron different defensive looks. Obviously if one of the 2 is having more success you stick with that person.

Leonard on Wade. Diaw on LeBron. Green on Bosh. Manu on Chalmers. Duncan on Lewis.

You have damn near lost your mind. The Heat already have 1.5 players worthy of commanding double teams. Why would you want to increase that number to 2.5?

Agree with Diaw as the primary Lebron defender. Lebron is a slashing PF, not a SF. You aren't going to stop him with a small.

Diaw is perhaps the only true PF in the league quick enough and strong enough to stop Lebron drives. Let him be a jump shooter, the only spot he's really elite is from 0-3 feet, where he makes 80 percent these playoffs. Kawhi might be one of the best Lebron defenders at SF, but if you have to collapse the paint on his drives the Heat are an absurdly efficient offensive team.

Leonard could probably shut Wade down but I could also imagine him guarding Bosh in my fantasy benstanfield coach world. Bosh isn't much of a post threat and I don't think he'd be able to abuse Kawhi, whereas Kawhi could play the passing lanes, deny Bosh in the post, and close out on his jumpshot. Bosh is an elite midrange shooter but he isn't Dirk or LMA. Most of hist shots come from kick outs where he gets open jumpers.

I'd put Tiago on Bosh to make some Aldridge/Dirk effect. Danny on Wade, Kawhi amd Boris on LeBron.

I really like the idea of Diaw on Lebron and Kawhi on Wade when the Heat are small. Kawhi should be able to take Wade out of the series as Dwayne won't be able to score over him in the post and Diaw can stand off Lebron, give him the mid range and make it tough for him in the post.

Kawhi on Wade will also eliminate his offensive rebounding. Westbrook had 2 offensive boards per game in the first 4 games, but none in two games with Kawhi on him.

Um. Bosh is the same size as Durant. Green guarded Durant. Why wouldn't he be able to guard 3 point chucking Chris Bosh?

If Duncan guards Bosh, I'm going to lose it. It's the same bullshit that happened to Indiana when they had Roy Hibbert guard Bosh.

Leonard can take Wade out completely. Diaw / Kawhi / Splitter can all guard LeBron and force him to shoot.

If Green guarded Bosh, I'd be shocked if Bosh scored more than 10 points a game.

:lmao Bosh and Durant aren't even remotely the same kind of player. Bosh would eat Green alive in the post. Durant is allergic to posting up mismatches on a regular basis.

So who is Duncan going to guard? I would hazard that Spo has been having Bosh shoot 3s all season long with the purpose of drawing Duncan from the paint (ala Hibbert). I think they should let Lebron and Wade shoot as many contested 2s as they want (protect the paint) and concentrate on shutting down the others.

It's going to be epic. I would guess we might see several different lineup adjustments for both teams. Very curious as to who starts the first 2 games for the Spurs and how Miami counters.
