Jim only managed to shoot 44% against a dynamic duo of Big Z and Anderson Varejo, scoring 2 more points than Ginobli :lmao

And Shooting 41% against Detroit (yet being gifted finals mvp) , scoring 13 more points than Ginobli :lmao

That nigga has been bailed out quite a bit, tbh.

I was at Game 7 in 2005. Tim took over in the 2nd half and willed the team to victory.

So Duncan's 14 boards and 2 assists 2 BPG and great D didn't mean shit in 2005?

and his 12 boards and 4 assists 2 BPG with great D didn't mean shit in 2007?

Try harder faggot. Kobe fan should never throw stones about Finals FG%.

Boom. He didn't contest jack shit. Battier was dumb enough not to wrap him up and send him to the ground, instead, Duncan gave him a hand.

Jesus fucking Christ! Look at those Finals numbers. A big man who couldn't even make half his damn shots. Yeah Jim sure raised his game when it counted most :rollin

Very strong stats. And if we consider the 07 WCSF against the Suns the "real NBA Finals," then they'll be even stronger.

Let's see how Duncan compares to other (1st option) C/PFs of the post-merger modern era:

Shaquille O'Neal
30 games - 28.8 ppg, 13.1 rpg, 3.4 apg, 0.5 spg, 2.1 bpg, 3.3 tov, 60.1 FG%, 48.4 FT%, 59.0 TS%

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
56 games - 23.5 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 3.1 apg, 0.9 spg, 2.2 bpg, 52.3 FG%, 70.2 FT%, 55.6 TS%

Hakeem Olajuwon
17 games - 28.0 ppg, 10.6 rpg, 3.4 apg, 1.9 spg, 3.2 bpg, 3.1 tov, 48.8 FG%, 74.0 FT%, 53.4 TS%

Moses Malone
10 games - 23.6 ppg, 17.0 rpg, 1.6 apg, 1.1 spg, 1.9 bpg, 2.3 tov, 44.2 FG%, 66.7 FT%, 50.2 TS%

Karl Malone
16 games - 19.6 ppg, 9.6 rpg, 3.3 apg, 1.1 spg, 0.7 bpg, 2.6 tov, 46.0 FG%, 67.6 FT%, 50.5 TS%

Kevin Garnett
13 games - 16.6 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 3.0 apg, 1.5 spg, 1.2 bpg, 2.1 tov, 46.6 FG%, 81.8 FT%, 50.9 TS%

Dirk Nowitzki
12 games - 24.4 ppg, 10.3 rpg, 2.6 apg, 0.7 spg, 0.7 bpg, 2.5 tov, 40.4 FG%, 93.1 FT%, 53.4 TS%

Dave Cowens
13 games - 21.7 ppg, 12.9 rpg, 4.0 apg, 1.2 spg, 0.3 bpg, 47.7 FG%, 73.3 FT%, 51.0 TS%

Elvin Hayes
16 games - 20.5 ppg, 11.6 rpg, 1.4 apg, 1.1 spg, 2.2 bpg, 43.7 FG%, 65.4 FT%, 47.9 TS%

Duncan is 2nd in blocks and rebounds per game, and 4th in FG%.

Shaq is by far the best. Then probably Hakeem. Duncan is anywhere from 3rd to 5th (Kareem, Moses, and Duncan's stats are overall a wash, so pick whomever).

Shaq was clearly the one who won that series, one of the most impressive finals stat lines ever. Although, Bryant has had his positive contributions which, when weighed against his negative ones, puts him at a fairly level balance.

The same Mike Brown who led the Lakers to the championship in fact.
