View Full Version : Holy Crap, That Was Close!
Either my house or right next to it suffered a lightning strike with the thunderstorm that came through.
Big assed flash, a couple of lightbulbs burnt out, TV freaked out, alarm system fragged and now just beeps and the phone no longer works.
That'll get your attention.

Holy crap is right!! :wow :wow
I'm glad you are apparently okay....although you might glow in the dark for a while. :lol
They kicked us out of Splashtown right about then....which was good, because I didn't have to fight with 7 kids to get them to leave. :devil
Everyone is fine out here, spooked the daughter pretty good, but the 5 month old boy just looked around, cooed, spit up and crapped his drawers for good measure.
I checked the house/roof and can't see any strike marks, and ditto with the big oak in the backyard. I think it may have struck the daughters blow up pool though.

Yep, the joys of parenthood.
I find myself wildly turned on by the wife when she smells of laundry detergent and old formula.

Glad you're okay man! There was some lightning strikes pretty close to my house. I was walking out the door to go to the car and it looked like it struck like 7 houses down in the cul de sac. Pretty crazy stuff!

We've been having a lot of that lately. More so than I remember. Last night it struck somewhere near me and the lights flickered and the cable and tv went beserk. Rained buckets about 6:30 P.M.
Well, the carnage continues, looks like my garage door opener got fried as well.
Oh joy.
