... would be the perfect intro for our 2013-2014 Championship DVD.

Let's hope the Spurs get 'em this time.

it would suck if Ray Allen makes a buzzer beating 3 game winner in game 1 :lmao

It'll happen. Just like Fish's '04 shot on the '05 DVD.

Are you kidding me? That would make this year 'ship the sweetest if we ever get to it.

Like Fpoonsie said, just like .4 tbh. :tu

Heat have 4 players that can easily make a game winner :cry

but at the end of the game yes, Ray Allen the best shooter in history is the most deadly

You should just hope it comes down to a game winner. Given what we've seen thus far in the playoffs, close games aren't common.

I hope Parker makes a game winning 3 in front of Allen in the same spot in game 6 to close it out tbh.

Works for me if we win. It'll soothe the pain, but it won't completely be gone because we would have finally repeated and shut up a lot of the media. :lol

We supposed to get used to the "we shoulda repeated" feeling imho. .4, The foul, the injury ridden '08 run etc etc. :lol

100%duncan said "in game 6", that's in miami this year with the new finals format. so the heroics might not be necessary at home to win.

I was going through my Spurs championship boxset revisiting the fourth quarter clinching games as well as the championship dvd's themselves and man does virtually every DVD start off with some insanely depressing event from the year before (losing all those games to the lakers in 02 despite having the lead heading into the fourth quarter every game except for game 5, fisher's .4 shot, manu's foul)

Damn.

My basketball channel was airing game 1 last night and airing game 6 as of the moment. It hurts watching the series score of 3-2 tbh. 20 hours more till we can wash this stench off, hopefully.

Yeah seriously.

Still pisses me off that atrocious lineup Pop trotted out to begin the fourth quarter of Game 6 last year.

Forget the line up that started the 4th tbh, but the line-up that ended regulation. Duncan must have been so pissed...

I believe we also had a 8-10 point lead to start the 4th. I was pissed that Pop threw the bench out there instead of going with the starters. Fucking bench gave up the lead iirc.

YES, the Spurs have always won the championship after a tragic loss. 2004 Fisher shot -> 2005 title. 2006 Mavs loss -> 2007 title. 2013 Heat loss -> ???

I was thinking of Tony's heroics on that last shot and how we almost dropped 2 at home. If you think about it, sure we blew them out a game or two, but it was because Danny and Gary were unconscious from outside. We lost at home, and almost lost the other one at home. We could have easily gone into game 6 down 3-2. Wouldn't have mattered, but it's not like we destroyed them in SA. We lost the HCA that we took from them.

i thought the game 3 win we had was more about Neal than Green. Neal hit a majority of his big shots while the game was close and as we started to pull away. Green hit a majority of his shots when the game was basically already out of hand, but he made sure the Heat didn't get any ideas of coming back. I think having gone up against OKC's aggressive, athletic defense last round was a pretty good practice bout for this round.

Ray Allen's 3 altered NBA history in a big way, more than any one shot I can remember. LeBron's legacy would be drastically different, as would the aura around the Spurs. a win this year, and 6 won't really bother me all that much anymore. would be an additional cherry if we win and the big 3 split up, we'd be the ones who broke the dynasty

^basically a mixed bag/ramble, but thats what NBA Finals eve does to people, i guess

Care to expound? I don't remember us being hobbled in that WCF. I always thought we didn't have a shot due to the short turnaround from the Pelicans series followed by a obvious no-call on a Brent Barry three.

Just curious what the situation was.

Idk, wasn't Manu or TD or someone injured that series? Or was it just a result of a very tiring battle against New Orleans?

The plane night, Manu hobbled and the horrific foul calls on Bowen in Game 1 that completely destroyed our defensive level. Up by 20 at half or something like that... Everything went downhill from there.

Already on sale at NBA.com. Will buy mine eventually, for now I've bought the shirt with all of their faces on it (wasn't digging the official shirt they were wearing) and I got the tank that says Champions. Pretty excited!!!
