I've never even argued with you, only interaction I've had is quoting all your pathetic ":cry Splitter sucks :cry" posts. That kind of obsession with another guy is just flat out weird.

If it makes you feel any better, Jalen Rose listed Diaw instead of Splitter as part of the medium three with Green and Kawhi.

At whatever capacity, Tiago is positively contributing with his free throws and defense, including his two blocks (one of which is on James). I wish the future face of the franchise would at least make that kind of impact.

The future face of the franchise has more turnovers and fouls than rebounds and points.

He's been nothing but passive, at least offensively, so far tonight.

He's great against just about every team in the league except OKC and Miami. Unfortunately, those two teams happen to be our hardest opponents.

I agree with the FT tonight.. But blocked shots are the dumbest stat to quote. Who gives a shit if its a block if it does not result in a DIRECT TURNOVER. Said block could have gone right to Tiago's man for the putback... and yes, its sad that KL has no consistency.

I enjoyed his contributions tonight.

He is the type of player who either really matches up well against the other team or he doesn't. He was awesome against Dallas and Portland, not so much against OKC. Not sure tonight's lineups played to his strengths, but I still thought he did okay.

Splitter was badass tonight, and I think he can get better. Did he block Lebron or was that Diaw? Looked like Splitter but they said it was Diaw. If Splitter, then that's a good sign.

Spurs don't need him against POR/Dallas. I firmly believe they have enough talent even without him to beat those teams, they may struggle more but I don't see why they can't. The Dallas series only went 7 games because they failed to take advantage of Leonard's post ups on Monta, and the defensive assignment with KL on Monta and Verde on Carter was idiotic.

Splitter should be tearing it up this series, the way he's set up for success out there and his failure to execute is frustrating. He didn't really help last series either, even though Ibaka was injured, against a healthy OKC team he is neutralized yet again.

Should he shit the bed again these finals I see no reason to keep him, I'd rather SA take the team in a different direction, via the draft, FA, trade etc. a big that can take advantage of mismatches and make the opponent PAY.

Splitter flopped to the horror of Jeff van Gundy after he admitted he was fouled (not called), then clubbed by LeBron and fell down so they would call that one, which they did. I don't care if Splitter flops as long as he gets the call. If the fouls would be called initially he wouldn't have to wave flags at the officials to catch their attention. Van Gundy can kiss my ass with all his bullshit complaining. At least Reggie Miller is gone.

Damn. OP decided to pick tonight to rag on Splitter and Green. Dunno whether I should admonish him or thank him. His takes seem to have a Reggie Miller--like quality of ending up wrong no matter how likely they seem to come true.

Splitter played soft and had some rough spots as usual but we dont win this game without him. His presence alone made miami take tougher shots, he defended bosh well and moved great with manu all while scoring a few and hitting his free throws. He pisses me off but I can live with it

I like how the announcers downplayed Lebron's pushing on Splitter... that's probably the strongest player ever pushing you with the whole upper body strength, Splitter may overact but that's a hell of a push if you're not in good position...

Strategic
06-06-2014, 07:45 AM
My biggest problem with Splitter is it looks like he grew up watching Dipsy do dah day instead of Michael Jordan. He gets in good enough position on offense, just like to see him dunk it once or twice more a game.

That one hand dunk he had on Ray got me pretty hyped up tbh I love him on this team and he is sometimes the most important player on our team (see first round and second round) but he is just so damn soft. I get so excited every time he dunks, which tells you how soft he is that him dunking is so unexpected

SpurSwag
06-06-2014, 01:34 PM
He was definitely a plus for us tonight though, the Heat and Thunder are 2 of the only teams in the league where he can be rendered kinda useless, but he did pretty well with his minutes tonight and did keep us in the game at one point

:lmao Eff off, OP. Splitter brought the goods in the 4th.

The interesting thing is that you negate the fact that Bosh went off on him, and you praise him waaaaaaaay beyond what he accomplished. I mean has his play sunk so low that if he plays well for 1/4 of the game it is ALL WORLD status for tiago?

He had some big plays, for sure, but he had bonehead plays too. Like Green, if he would play average THE WHOLE GAME we would never have been down in the first place. Glad he could turn it around.
