So sorry these players had to play in these "extreme conditions". Lord knows they've never played 5 on 5 pickup on a blacktop under the sun.

On whom?!?!

At the post-game presser he was very adamant in saying that both teams had to play with the same situation so there was nothing to complain about except that it was unfortunate that it was so hot. Then Rod Thorn (NBA VP) came on and said that no one in the NBA ever seriously considered not finishing the game because everybody played in hot arenas into the 80's in some series and no one team was impacted more than the other.

This, like the "Spurs hate the Heat" thing is entirely a media fueled frenzy.

This tbh. I've done the Hotter’N Hell Hundred twice just for fun so these multimillion dollar athletes should be able to tolerate one game without crying about it like a baby. The irony of a team named the HEAT whining that's it's too hot should not be overlooked.

Seriously dude, all of us in San Antonio and Austin that have played a ton in 100 degree weather. Get over it "professionals."

It's a backpeddle on their stance last night.
All the Heat's pressers were macho bravado about how everyone had to deal with the heat, it wasn't a big deal, etc - inadvertently making their star look like a huge pussy.

This Dan Wetzel column talks about it:
http://sports.yahoo.com/news/unfair--lebron-james-wilts-in-nba-finals-opener--triggering-new-referendum-on-his-standing-among-greats-065906652-nba.html

This sounded like a parade of tough guy talk radio callers wanting to bolster themselves with the illusion of being stronger than LeBron. Only it was James' teammates and peers, and that's why this won't be easy to shake.

Saw this on Reddit; there's no specific source or anything so take it for what it is:

"Heard from a source of a source so take it with a grain of salt.Who other than the ABC, the same one pointing at the Spurs staff for cramping LeBron, would be the culprit of ATT Centers outage.
Supposedly Spurs staff directed ABC to plug into a specific circuit but they got it wrong. The ABC crew plugged into the same circuit as the A/C and blew the transformer. Obviously the power went out and they quietly switched to correct circuit but didn't inform building maintenance. Once Spurs staff noticed and got everyone on full alert it was too late. So ABC was directly responsible for heat that cramped LeBron up technically.
IF it's true it would make sense seeing how the additional power drain to blow a transformer would have had to come from something significant.
Anyway thought I'd share - GSG!"

Yeah who should be fined? Lol Spoelstra speaking like it was not the same temperature for both teams. Poor Lebron had cramps, while 100 year old Timmy kept going and posted 20+10 on 90% shooting.
Spo should just stop with those silly comments.

That's great now the Spurs won't have an excuse for so many turn overs that kept the Heat close in game 1

Don't worry, LeBron, we got this . . .
