Needs to step up, tbh. We can't have him in foul trouble again, LeBron started his run with Diaw on him. Also, I'd like to see him being more aggressive on the offensive end, especially when he is being guarded by somebody not named LeBron. He should be beasting against guys like Allen, Wade.
I don't know, is it mental or what is it? He is young, but he was even younger last year and he averaged a double double.

I know and I agree, he was bad tonight, but still it makes me wonder why he plays like that. Not the Leonard we are used to.

Not a chance he was going to stop Bron from going off this game, but with Diaw's defense on LeBron, it shows me that Leonard at least contested his shots. :lol

It might be better to switch Leonard off of James.
Leonard is worthless offensively spending too much energy on defense and he isn't stopping James anyways.
Leonard shows up on the road for some reason.
They'll need him to make some steals then go coast to coast to shut up the Miami "faithful."
He and Danny can't stay out of foul trouble, for whatever reason :rolleyes

Suger K is stinking up the joint! No defense or offense. He's not tryna post up anyone! He's looking like a fucking rookie. Marco is out playing him.

Just got to stop picking up dumb fouls like running over the birdman screen 18 ft from the basket. Also when bron gets a head of steam driving to the basket some times you just got to concede the shot and not swipe down.

I dunno if ya'll were watching the same game I was.
But, BOTH games, everytime Leonard tried to Defend Lebron...he was called for fouls. The officials are not allowing anyone to Defend Lebron...period.

Why is Pop having him play Labron so far away from the basket? He's crowding labron like he's Durrant or something!

And still these idiots say Kawhi and Green gotta play better...
They have enough to win in a regular situation but refs want them to play at 150%.

hes playing the exact same way he played last series in the first 2 games
only difference is he rebounded more
mostly because he played more 4 with Splitter being phased out and Diaw not playing
now his rebounds are down because those 2 are playing more

Talk all you want about needing to play smarter and be more aggressive. The refs are simply not letting him play. He's picking up some ridiculous fouls that has nothing to do with needing to be smarter, more aggressive, or showing some heart. He can't even touch James without the whistle blowing.
As for offense? He's an afterthought. No cuts or post ups. He's parked on the 3 point line. Hardly any screens set for him either. He's either missing the easy ones, forcing the issue, or the refs decided to swallow their whistles. Has Pop even ran one play for him??
It's going to be even more ridiculous in Miami.

Ya.. refs need to let him play. So many ticky tack fouls that should be no calls.
It's not Leonard's fault he not being allowed to play defense. He's sliding his feet and LeBron is initiating all the contact on drives while Kawhi is getting called for blocking fouls.
What else is he supposed to do.

splenda k has been playing like trash. i agree with dude on the radio this morning, put splenda k on wade in the 1st half and save him for lebron in the 2nd.
Lebron was just throwing up long jumpers and making all of them. Nothing anyone can do about that
Kawhi does need to turn his game up a bit. Not just on defense, but on offense. He needs to play looser like he did against the Thunder. He was going coast to coast after a rebound against the Thunder, but against Miami, he isn't even getting rebounds. He's still a young player, but I predict he starts to give us the goods in one of the next two games. If Kawhi plays like he's capable, Spurs can win this. If he doesn't, we can't win. Basically, the Spurs have to score over 105 to beat the Heat (because the Heat can't score that much on a regular basis). Last night, Miami's defense won. We'll see what happens in game 3.

Can Spurs still activate Daye? Baynes will likely not be needed in this series and Daye's length and fouls could help vs Lebron.

Kawhi is a mental midget, defensively when you pick up fouls you have to forget about them and move on. It looks like he can't let go and it effects him offensively. Can't pick up shitty fouls on anyone but LeBron.
Kawhi gets the ball on offense and has 2 moves and almost none of them work. He either tries to dribble drive and pulls up too quickly and takes on off balance shot or gets contested and passes out or he very slowly thinks about a 3 and gets caught putting the ball on the floor too slowly and sloppy.
Quick decisions need to be made and he needs to finish at the rim not 15 feet away from the basket.

LeBron was getting the Thunderrefs treatment last night. Couldn't touch him. Kawhi had no chance.

They won't, but if for some reason they did, it should be for Ayres, not Baynes. I actually think Daye would be a better stretch 4 than Bonner, but I doubt if Pop trust him moreso on the defensive side of the ball.

He was WIDE OPEN tonight. Soft fouls make no one think twice about driving in the lane.
