Unlikely, stars usually get their small fines paid for by their respective franchises.

It's fucking ridiculous that the ref made that call when he wasn't even looking at the fucking play. What a joke

You can clearly tell the ref wasn't even looking when it happened.
Refs should NEVER react to players tbh... it's stupid. If you didn't see it, don't call it, I could live with that. Don't call something just because wade acts like a bitch about it

He should get fined as well for making stupid calls
They make that call when not even looking, but can't see westbrook clearly out of bounds with both feet on that steal while looking right at him.

Fuck yo fine fool.
Ginobili actually got hacked in the face on the latter stages of the game and they didn't call it. It would have been FT and a tied game, instead we got a turnover. They should have called it at least as a make up call.

5K for multi-millionnaires. :lol
There should be a strike system for the flops you got caught for, plus the fine, in an attempt to curb the most egregious flops. A game suspension for every 3 flops, for example tbh...

Yeah this is going to put a real dent on his bank account.

Yeah I just checked his lifetime earnings stand at $121M. Let's say taxes and sponsorships cancel out so that his net worth his roughly $121M. $5000 for Wade is like...$165 to me. Yeah, I wouldn't give a shit about a $165 fine.

Yeah it's amazing how inconsistent the refs were this game. They give Wade that call even though they're going by the aftermath of Wade's flopping and not actually seeing the foul itself, and yet they don't give Manu the same benefit. Just inconsistent reffing.

Fucking hilarious the flop occurred against Ginobili of all people.
The real punishment isn't the fine. It's the embarrassment of being made an example of by the league and looking like a pussy for the world to see. And the more elite you are as a player the more humiliating it is to be called out like this. No one really cares if someone like Battier flops, but people will verbally abuse the shit out of Wade for this.

100K per flop. Get 3 in a year or postseason and you get suspended a game for each flop until the next season.

if i'm commish for a day and i could change the rules on this stuff:
1st of all, this shit gets reviewed more often than it currently does. way too many blatant flops that don't get picked up
1st offense: warning
2nd offense: 1 game suspension
each ensuing offense: 1 game suspension
obviously resets for playoffs, so you get 1 playoff warning

That sounds about right to me.

People already give Wade enough shit for this before the fine. He's basically a running hospital with how hard he flops and fakes being hurt for the benefit of calls. :lol

the fines for flopping doesnt make sense, i prefer they get kick out of the game on the spot
cause the benefits of flopping to win, actually outweighs the fine costs....and whats 5k to them?
Refs should be fired if they can not competently do their jobs.

$5k for two free points in a two point finals win. Good deal I'd say.
Imagine this happening in a game 7. Great solace for the losing team.

I like the idea of fining the refs. After all its their shitty judgement, of course the players will do what they can to take advantage of that.

I'm not a fan of Wade as you all know but I have to admit wade probably got robbed on this one. It was a legit foul because Manu indeed touched, or even scratched wade's hand, wade felt the pain and reacted with a flinch. Just natural reflex imho, not an act.

Manu isn't buying it. He felt is was a flop and he would know.

Well, at least it wasn't a flop by wade's standard. Normally he would roll on the floor a thousand rounds crying like a bitch until his whore mom comes to his aid.
