Derek Fisher has accepted the job to become the Knicks new coach, effectively ending his playing career (allegedly). Spurs fans remember him for the infamous .4 shot and being a general pain in the butt over the years. But when he looks back on his career, will he have such fond memories of his playing days against the Spurs?

Fisher's teams (Lakers, Jazz and Okc) faced the Spurs 8 times in the playoffs over his 18 year career and lost 4 of those match ups (including 2 sweeps). Although he will surely relish some of those memories, he will go in to retirement knowing he lost his final game to the Spurs and was stopped from reaching the finals at least twice because of them.

Derek Fisher vs Spurs playoffs:

Lakers (1996-2004)
Swept by Spurs – 1998/1999 (Spurs Championship) L
Defeated Spurs – 2000-2001 (WCF) W
Lost to Spurs – 2002-2003 (WCSF) L
Beat Spurs (.4) – 2003-2004 (WCSF) W

Utah Jazz:
Swept by Spurs 2007 (WCF) L

Lakers (2007-2012)
Beat Spurs – 2007/2008 W

OkC: (2012):
Beat Spurs – 2012 (WCF) W
Lost to Spurs: 2014 (WCF) L

In short, F*CK YOU Derek Fisher, you Ring chasing, team hopping, family issue (excuse using), little troll !!

He's 4-4
with two asterisks.

2001 Derek Anderson went down.
2012 the rigged game 6 no real basketball intelligent respects.
They did take game 7 fair and square. Props for that.

Not to mention your attempting to mount Brent Barry with the game on the line in 2008. You were in the refs undies like the rest of your career so, no call.

Agree. Goodbye little phaggot. You're one of the largest shitstains on NBA legacy.

I'm glad he is no longer with the Thunder.
I'll be glad when Allen is no longer with the Heat.
Maybe someone will offer him a coaching job too.

The cameras caught Fisher after the end of the WCFs looking around the gym before entering the tunnel, and you just knew he was saying to himself:

"Look around - this is the last time you are going to be leaving the court as a player"

Having said that, I can't stand the guy, and between him and Jackson being in charge of the Knicks, I will be rooting against them every chance I get.
