MIAMI — It was the greatest night of his professional life, the rare moment when the complementary player became the Man and the Man couldn’t miss (http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/fancy-stats/wp/2014/06/11/kawhi-leonard-is-the-answer-to-bobby-ramoss-question/). Way-out threes, medium-range pull-up jump shots, it didn’t matter for Kawhi Leonard (http://stats.washingtonpost.com/nba/playerstats.asp?id=4896&team=24) in that 71-point San Antonio first half of Game 3 (http://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/spurs-set-nba-finals-record-in-first-half-to-take-2-1-series-lead-against-the-heat/2014/06/11/7a476efc-f115-11e3-9ebc-2ee6f81ed217_story.html).
In the middle of the coveted shooter’s zone, in the middle of the NBA Finals (http://stats.washingtonpost.com/nba/playoffs.asp), the sinewy Spurs forward finally took his own temperature Tuesday night. He fired a 20-foot turnaround, deep on the perimeter with Chris Bosh (http://stats.washingtonpost.com/nba/playerstats.asp?id=3707&team=14)’s elongated frame in his face.
All net. All night.?

Who was this bold and flammable 22-year-old, acting as if Tim Duncan (http://stats.washingtonpost.com/nba/playerstats.asp?id=3173&team=24),Manu Ginobili (http://stats.washingtonpost.com/nba/playerstats.asp?id=3380&team=24)and Tony Parker (http://stats.washingtonpost.com/nba/playerstats.asp?id=3527&team=24) were already retired and he was suddenly the face of a team?
What gems would be unearthed after Kawhi (pronounced Kuh-Why, like the Hawaiian island) Leonard became the youngest player in Finals history to score more than 25 points (http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wizards-insider/wp/2014/06/11/nba-finals-kawhi-leonards-career-night-carries-san-antonio-spurs-in-game-3/)on at least 75 percent
shooting, eclipsing James Worthy’s mark?

What gives people the right to bring up non-basketball related topics in an NBA interview? I can't imagine the pain of losing my Dad, murdered no less, and then be asked to talk about it so someone can sell a article. Although maybe next time it looks like Kawhi is just staring at nothing, we now know what he's probably thinking of.

Seriously not sure why the writer was told my Kawhi that he didn't want to talk about it, and didn't want to bring it up just to have the writer spend half of his article talking about it. Disrespectful asshole

I have a feeling if we win the title we're going to see the floodgates open for Kawhi.
