This year's gathering of tech giants and press in Berlin might very well see a new Samsung Galaxy Note (http://www.androidcentral.com/tag/galaxy-note-4), as well as new 4K OLED TVs and the Gear Glass headset (http://www.androidcentral.com/new-samsung-wearables-rumored-your-wrist-and-face). It's not surprising that we might see a new Galaxy Note at IFA — after all, it is the event where the previous three iterations of the big-screen stylus-happy smartphone launched.
But what is interesting about the Galaxy Note 4 is that it might come in two versions, and we're not talking about just different processors (http://www.androidcentral.com/samsung-galaxy-note-4-europe-rumored-return-exynos-chipset-time-lte) this time. Nope, Samsung is now rumored to have physically different versions of the Note 4 on tap, according to an unnamed executive of an unnamed Samsung partner in Korea:
"The Note 4 will have two versions ― one with a curved OLED display for niche markets and the other a flat OLED display for mass marketing."

Samsung's toyed around with curved displays before — the Samsung Galaxy Round (http://www.androidcentral.com/hands-samsung-galaxy-round) — but they haven't taken them nearly as seriously as Korean rival LG has with the LG G Flex (http://www.androidcentral.com/lg-g-flex). A Galaxy Note 4 with a curved display, even if it's one for niche markets, would be a significant statement on Samsung's part, and match up with statements from Samsung executives that the next Note might have an all new form factor.
In addition to a flat Galaxy Note 4 and a curved Galaxy Note 4, Samsung is also reported to be bringing their Google Glass (http://www.androidcentral.com/google-glass) competitor Gear Glass (oh, we hope that creative name is just a placeholder) and an expanded array of connected home (http://connectedly.com/connected-home) accessories and appliances to IFA. The see applications such as home security and energy management as offering "high growth potential" beyond just appliances.

Samsung may be gearing up to launch the Galaxy Purse 4 (http://www.androidauthority.com/note-4-curved-display-or-not-392994/) in the days prior to the IFA trade fair in Berlin, Germany in September. The Korea Times is reporting that Samsung will launch the Galaxy Purse 4 (http://www.androidauthority.com/note-4-early-september-410212/) on September 3rd, reasoning that Samsung looks to gain as much footing as possible before Apple announces their own new smartphones in September.
The Korea Times (http://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/news/tech/2014/07/133_162030.html) cites several sources in Samsung’s parts supply chain, including suppliers of displays and camera modules, and is very confident in this launch date.

The Korea Times suggests that Samsung will bring a version of the Galaxy Purse 4 with a curved display to show off at the launch and IFA, but it will not be available for purchase at initial launch.
Further confirmation of the UV sensor is provided, with the explanation that the sensor will be used along with S-Health (http://www.androidauthority.com/galaxy-s5-heart-rate-stress-385578/) to provide UV Radiation index levels. Samsung's been releasing flagships with different SoCs in different markets.

In a lot of countries in Europe where HSPA is very fast and there's little to no demand for LTE, they go with their in-house Exynos processors.

The Qualcomm versions are a concession to those markets that demand LTE, since Qualcomm integrates the LTE chip much better than the Exynos processors do.

If Samsung had a choice, they would have pushed Exynos versions in all markets.

The metal frame with a chamfered edge is a nice step up in quality for Samsung's devices.
The Menu button is dead! Samsung replaced it with a recent apps button.
No more fake stitching on the back.
A removable battery and a Micro SD card.

The Bad

Physical home buttons and styluses don't mix. Imparting force through a plastic stick into a clicky button is extremely awkward.
Samsung chose branding over usability.
The stylus feels like a toy. It's literally a hollow plastic tube.
The speaker moved from the bottom edge on the Note 3 to the back.
Samsung's fingerprint reader and heart rate monitor still aren't any good. Forcing them into an entire product lineup won't make them work any better.
The software is an inconsistent mish-mash of apps designed by Samsung, Google, and AT&T.
Duplicate apps. There are four app stores loaded out of the box.
Many of Samsung's apps hide the status bar for no reason. Immersive mode in a calculator is not a good idea.

The Ugly

I like the S5. Not a spectacular upgrade but upgraded where it was needed.
- Home button isn't as flush, more sturdy
- Screen is much brighter, much easier to see outside
- Screen is like x2 more efficient, therefore battery life is much better (SOT of 5.5 hrs vs 2.5-3 hrs)

Would only be possible if they unlocked the 64-bit capabilities of the Exynos chip. The Exynos chip version of the Note 4 is 64-bit but they limited it down to 32-bit so that everyone using a Snapdragon 805 (the other chipset version for US markets w/c is only 32-bit) gets a fair shake. They'll probably roll out the Snapdragon 810 on the Note 5 next year and then they could start implementing 64-bit things, like the 4k screen...

Checked out the Galaxy Purse 4 the other day and the screen looks legit. Incredible clarity but the colors were a bit saturated tbh.

BTW Alpha 6, here i come. I'm tired of charging my Nexus 5 over and over again. Heck my Blackberry Bold lasted me 4x with the same usage.

What I love about this phone is I can activate and operate it without using any of the buttons. Even though the implementation of the fingerprint scanner isn't as good as iPhone's yet, I can just swipe my finger and it will open. I can swipe my finger and it will pay for me in the Play store. Works for me so I don't have any complaints. I can also shout OK Google and it will open the phone. The home button and power button will have less mileage because of these, which makes me think that Kimchisung created a well-thought out Note device.

the problem with t he phone...i can recharge it but it doesnt turn on...

so going to get that sorted out, looks brand new or not used much...still had its box and original stuff in it...

the other day my mom had a s4 earlier model it had cracked screen, wouldve cost 150 to get screen replace, she exchange with some joint 200 for a brand new one s4-i9507 model no contract

but most small business retailers are dodgy these days with grey imports not suitable for ur countrys networks, but it should work...diff model for diff regions...

if i cant get the note2 fix, hopefully the shop will allow me to exchange it for a later model with me topping in the difference...
