A lot of bump-worthy threads from early in the season, where people decried Pop for not making Kawhi a big enough feature of the offense, not developing him correctly. Imagine that, one of the best ever in Pop actually knowing what's best for his players. Keep the monster hungry all season, and let him feed in the Finals, on the corpse of his greatest rival. :ihit

Leonard's transformation from Games 1 & 2 to Games 3 & 4 has been cosmic.

Who has been more responsible for the turnaround? Diaw or Leonard?

Is there a gif of that Mills 3 pt putback dunk yet?

Can't say enough about Leonard and his play/demeanor since coming into the league. You could have Pop & RC try and create the perfect Spur and I still don't think he'd be as good as Kawhi.

Before this series, I thought Kawhi had the chance to show how special he is. He was one of the rays of light after game 6. Shit I remember after 6, putting on Hendrix's Third Stone from the Sun and thinking of this moment. Hard to believe he's doing it but he's special. Despite how awkward he is with the media, I could see him becoming a household name. Still, just need to win one more in the next 3 games.

It's hard to believe but Kawhi was actually BETTER in game 4 then game 3. Won't get the same amount of credit though cause people are all about points.

Amazing how good the spurs have gotten when Manu has taken the backseat to kawhi as one of the big three. Not blaming Manu in anyway, just saying he hasn't dominated the ball and kawhi has wanted the ball.

So who still wants George Hill? How is that working out for the Pacers? I don't know if I would even take Paul George for Kawhi.

Kingslayer. That is boss. It's too controversial for any media to mention but that has to go viral if the Spurs do it.

There was one play where Lebron literally had no idea how to attack him ,kawahi has been nothing short of spectacular in games 3&4

I think the basketball world for the most part is stunned at how Kawhi and Lebron have played against each other. Conventional wisdom would make you think Lebron would use his smarts and upper body strength to his advantage but he hasnt really. Kawhi is 22 years old and fresh. Lebron is 29 and is on the back end of a 4 year playoff run. Kawhi looks more athletic and mobile on the court than Lebron. Its rare to see him being outmatched athletically but thats what Kawhi is doing.

Leonard really likes the Heat arena. He's had some of the best games of his career there. Hopefully he keeps it up at home. The Spurs should treat this like the previous game 5's and go for a decisive win. Almost like their the team that is down.

I think everyone on the team will be hearing about Game 6 from last year for the next couple of days. 1 game away - Finish it!!

When Kawhi completely outclassed Lebron it's game set match. If he does it again on Sunday it's done.

Q: Magic Johnson, Tim Duncan … Kawhi Leonard??? Wait … what??? How good can this guy be?

In the last three games of the 2014 NBA Finals, Kawhi went head-to-head against the world’s best basketball player AND OUTFREAKINGPLAYED HIM. He even earned a nickname that hasn’t caught on yet: “Kingslayer.”

Maybe Simmons read "Spurstalk"?

The nickname is perfect for right now but it won't age well. Game of Thrones won't keep its current level of popularity throughout Kawhi's career.

TBH, I didn't even know it was a GoT reference and I still thought it was awesome. I mean, it's pretty self-explanatory.

True. The careers of Kawhi and LeBron will have a lot of overlap.

I guess you could make an argument Kawhi outplayed Lebron because of what he did on both ends of the court. Lebron's impact was mainly offensively. Even then his team needed him to score 40+ to have a chance.
