If Spurs dont win = Duncan > Kobe

It's actually not even close, it was never close, and now it's not any closer either.

Clearly. Duncan is a top 7 player of all time. Kobe is anywhere from 10-14.

2 great players that don't play the same position and have had two roles that are distinct, but played their roles on an all time level. Can't compare bigs to smalls.

all the "greats" of the TD era had to join forces with other "greats" to get their rings, TD did not. IMO this puts him alone at the top of the post-Jordan era

Ray Allen's shot last year is the difference between Duncan>Kobe and Kobe>Duncan?

Stupid comparison.

Different teams, different roles, different circumstances.

Sure glad Tim didn't blow an achilles.

I think Tim is a better quality person and leader but Kobe had serious skills too.

You guys have it all wrong. Kobe has six rings. He somehow managed to convince Vanessa to stick around.

As Spurs fans we obviously know better. To get all the mainstream media/Laker fans to agree, this title will cement Duncan as the best post-Jordan player. Heck he came into the league same year Jordan won his 6th and was always at/near the top ever since, ruining LeBron's three-peat when he promised "the league will be yours :) " 7 years ago!

We are not there yet, one more game and after 6 can not take this for granted!

Duncan is second only behind Michael Jordan. To say he had no help though would be a misnomer, our Big 3 to this day > Miami Big 3

Everybody but Kobe himself knows Duncan has always been better.
