Chalmer has been one of the shittiest players in recent finals memory, tbh... The "s" is dropped from his last name
simply due to him sucking so badly.

why is he to blame? isnt he the one who outplayed parker in game6+7 but never got the credit for it?

same with his game2 tactics, never got the credit for it

he is always the scapegoat for the heat, contract year or not...they still have another 10 coatriders on the team who dont contribute but collect a paycheck, those guys deserve some blame also...

gets grilled for his poor decisions, but wouldnt that also apply to anyone if their shots aint falling but continue to chuck up? look at that scrub wade gm4 performance 1-10 yet why doesnt lebron call him out?

He always plays like shit in the big moments. Some of you may not know this but he choked 2 straight free throws that could've gotten the heat ahead in the waning minute of game 7. But unfortunately he lucked out since Duncan missed that lay up afterwards. Had the spurs won game 7 he would've been responsible for the loss. Not shocked this guy played like crap again.

I blame LeHype. Chalmers is a PG, but LeHype dominates the offense. Chalmers eats 5th at best. If he doesn't knock down the 4 shots he gets, he's scapegoatted.

He gets GOAT praise when he wins, he should get the blame when his team plays like a goat (baa-aaaaa-aad :lol)

Wade/Chalmers have been pretty bad, but LeBron decides to man up when its too little too late, he has not played a complete game since his fluky shooting in game 2, tbh.

Consider it a way to disparage someone without insulting his race or sexual orientation.

If he loses game 5 for the Heat it becomes CHALME.

Chalmer letting Enrique outplay him in every quarter in this series is more than reason enough to blame him. No?

Been loving him and Norris Cole in this series tbh... They believe they are both incarnates of Russell Westbrook so they will steal shots from the credible shooters. :lol

Chalmer is a very poor man's BJ Armstrong. He actually doesn't sound retarded here but he's a little too nonchalant.

It also appears that he is wearing eyeshadow. What is up with these heaties and their makeup?

When he's on, he's better than Rashard tbh. On average, he's better than Rashard. He just hasn't done jack.

He's been clutch more times than not.

Him throwing the dagger in Rose was his most famous moment, but you can google "Chalmers clutch" and you'll find plenty of articles talking up his clutchness tbh.

Calispursfan11

Then it is the lack of clutchness by Chalmer that is to blame.

To blame the Heat's shit performances on a shitty role player is dumb, especially when you look over at Bosh and Wade who are definitely not anywhere near being the "superstars" they're billed as. It looks like LeBron in Cleveland out there with Wade as Hughes and Bosh as Jamison tbh...

Too early to assign blame, plenty of time for that tomorrow. Too many here forget the past. A ring is elusive when you're fighting the defending champs. Let's wait to see the outcome, because if it goes back to Miami, Spurs could lose faith and Heat could gain it. Here's to a Spurs blowout win tonight.

true, that's why the game tonight is a must win for Spurs, for both teams actually. If we lost it tonight we would have to come back to Miami fighting a Miami team which is replenished with confidence, and if we lost 6 again the series would follow the same path as last year. It's only the difference of one game between where we are now and where we were after 5 games last year, imho.

Chalmers is a role player, so no, he is not to blame. The Heat only go as far as the big 3 take them. Lebron has done his part. Bosh arguably hasn't gotten enough touches. Wade has been a disappointment, and should probably get most of the blame for the Heat's shortcomings. However, the truth is that thus far the superior team is just winning. The Spurs defense has come as quite a shock to those that don't follow the team closely.

You can't blame a spare...it's not on him to win the ring...it's on Bron, Wade, and Bosh..period.

Other than HCA since both closeout games were in Miami last year.

If Mario is truly to blame, then by default Spo is to blame because he kept playing a guy who wasn't performing. It's what happens when all of your eggs are in 3 baskets, and you need 5 baskets to get there.

I'm not gonna absolve Mario of blame because everyone else has sucked. He gets blamed too, along with everyone else.

Cole's sucked hard too and he doesn't have a lot of options with moving players around like he's had in the past. But he hasn't even really tried anything different tbh anyways.

The OP clearly implies Chalmers shoulders the blame imho, it doesn't say "does Chalmers share blame with everyone else?"

Chalmer:

"If that's an option, I'd love to come back with this team," he said, "But I'll sit down with my agent and my family and we'll go from there."

Acting like a hero when Bosh and Bron are acting non-committal on the return tbh fwiw.
