1999: Spurs 78, Knicks 77 (clinched title)

2003: Spurs 93, Nets 83 (took a 3-2 lead)

2005: Spurs 96, Pistons 95 (took a 3-2 lead)

2013: Spurs 114, Heat 104 (took a 3-2 lead)

2014: ???

Let's finish this shit off like 1999 (except this time, on our home court).

:toast

The only time we lost in the Finals was last year, the only time we didn't have HCA, and it took the flukiest of fluke endings in BOTH Game 6 and Game 7 for us not to win the title. Spurs got this shit this time. NFW we don't win #5 this year.

Have the Spurs ever won the championship on their home court?
I honestly don't remember.

Yes, in 2003 (game 6) and 2005 (game 7).

:lol It's not even a "stat" per se, just an interesting fact.

If anything, it means the Spurs have traditionally played well in critical Finals games.

We had also, at one point, never failed to get out of the 1st round with Tim, and never lost a Finals series...

Right. I don't think this past trend provides any insight into tomorrow's game. It's just an interesting trend.

Remember that game 5 has historically been at the lower seed's house since 1985, this year it's at the higher.
