...he originally picked Heat in 7, but after Game 4, he said the series was over, the Heat were done.
So, either the Spurs win the title, which makes SAS right, or the Heat win the title in 7, which makes SAS right.
Genius! :lol

I've criticized him many many times, but he is very clever. I suspect he thinks his words will get back to the Heat and inspire them to prove him wrong.

I've lost a lot of respect for him this year.

I don't think he would be right if the Heat win. Saying "it's over" clearly insinuates that the team currently leading will win. He bitched out and changed his pick, so either way he looks bad.
He picked the Spurs last year, made the show more boring, he's an entertainer, having Skip and him pick different teams makes for a better show tbh...

Did he pick the Spurs last year BEFORE the series began, or after the Spurs took the series lead?

Stephen A. Smith is the Glenn Beck of sports.
Did he pick the Spurs last year BEFORE the series began, or after the Spurs took the series lead?
Can't remember tbh.

That was a pretty stupid pick based on stats. Chances of winning in 7 without homecourt are generally very low. Spurs in 6 had a much greater chance. I think the only way it could have happened is if the Spurs allowed themselves to get blow out in game 6.

The title of this thread is probably the first time those words have been used in a sentence.

I stopped paying attention to Stephen A Smith a long time ago when I realised the amount of rubbish he talks

No. Viewers just prefer him to Skip. I loved it when Woody Paige was in his place. First Take is crap. Stephen A is just a loud mouthed prick who believes every athlete, actor, or singer he interviews is his friend.

It's basically hater on TV

He also said Spurs were the better team before the series, so he is playing it both ways .
