Agreed. Leonard was easily MVP, but there were so many other players who came close too

I thought Diaw was the MVP for the first 2-3 games. Everyone on this team contributed, even Bonner.

Several turning points in this game. Manu's dunk. Putting the ball inside to Mr. Reliable Duncan to get back in it and narrow the lead. Mills hit...3 three's in row?..then Parker, after going 0-11 crushes any idea of a Heat comeback and starts to light it up. In short, when it looked like it might get away or there would be a Heat comeback, the Big 3, and Mills, slammed that door shut.

TBH, from the start Boris will never be the FMVP.

I know Boris's impact is huge but sadly to say, those media who voted for the FMVP still need the FMVP to put up some decent numbers to back it up.

Boris is not even close to averaging 10 points per game so he won't be the FMVP consideration at all.

There is no way those newsflash or headline will put: B.Diaw is the FMVP, he averages 6 pts / 8 rebs / 5 asts per game.

I thought Manu did most of the heavy lifting to pull the spurs out of the defecit. Hitting shots and executing flawlessly when you're down by 16 is alot more difficult. (Not to take away from Patty & Khawi who also had monster games). Honorable mention to Duncan who also was key in the comeback. No h9norable mention for Parker who finally showed up in the 4th but better late than n3ver I suppose.

I want to point out that Shane Battier was huge too.

His actions to piss off Manu in the 1st quarter started the Spurs to rally and show some life

:lmao.

You know Spoelstra is kicking himself right now for that coaching blunder. Probably wishing he'd gone with Beasley instead from the get go.

Yea Beasley made a few play.

But his 5 sec in bound violation and late running out to contest Patty's 3 was :lmao

Game 1 - Manu
Game 2 - Lebron
Game 3 - Leonard
Game 4 - Leonard
Game 5 - Leonard/Manu

Those are my MVPs throughout the 5 games. Leonard definitely deserved the Finals MVP.

Didn't Leonard contain LeBron to 14 points on 5-14 shooting throughout quarters 2-4, while nabbing 22pts and 10rbs on 70% shooting? Mills knocked in some big-time triples that really extended the game (I lost my voice during that period) while Manu willed the team back within striking distance, but Leonard was by far the most consistent player.

Either way, I love this team and every player on it. Even Belinelli, who made some HUGE threes against OKC and Miami. I never understood the hate for him.

Even Ayres and Daye have their moments. Joseph is probably the best bench-warmer in the league (by far, IMO). Hell, freaking Bonner played nice defense on Ibaka.

Beasley was a desperation move that didn't pay off. A guy who hasn't played much is usually not going to help and it showed. Oden might have been a better move for his shotblocking. We saw how big Ibaka's shotblocking was in the OKC series.

Patty going Stephen Jackson in Game 5 after going Steve Kerr in Game 4. God I hope the team can bring him back.

Actually I have to agree Leonard is true mvp after looking at Leonard's great game 3 & 4 its hard to deny he was the clear cut mvp of the series. Those 2 monster games (in enemy territory no less) were absolute back breakers.

Manu was great in game 5 and the only reason we didn't finish the 1st quarter with a huge deficit. I'd say he was the MVP of that game.

Overall great game for Patty..reminded me of Speedy closing it out..huge 3's, annoying defense, and two timely flops against Wade and Allen. Probably best sell job in the league tbh.

Patty was unconscious! Manu was the one who got the team going right from the start though. He made a couple of big plays that gave us momentum after that slow start. But yes, overall, Kawhi was the MVP of the Finals.

The dude put the team on his back when they were down, and showed real leadership.

Just stop. Parker contributed 2 pts to the 19 point lead the Spurs carried in to the 4th quarter. He then scored 14 in the 4th to help them maintain it. As a team, the Spurs only scored 27, not 36 in the 4th. What game were you watching? Manu, Mills and Leonard were the stars of Game 5.

Manu was absolutely the spark in game 5 that got us going... but Patty helped put the game away. Parker came alive in the 4th to prevent Miami from having ideas of a miracle.

Happy to learn that the "Patty Mills will require shoulder surgery" rumors were complete BS.

He's even playing basketball at a charity event today. He's 100% healthy. Moving on.
