However, when you hire mercs like Ray Allen, Mike Miller and Shane Battier, you aren't going to make them better and you're not planning on it. You're just trying to make it work. They saw Lebron's presence as a limited time thing, no time to build. That was probably part of the "want it now" discussions they held with him prior to his decision.
