minus the first 3-4 games of the 1st round

A+ tbh

He just kept preaching that the ball do not stick, and the defensive gameplay in the finals was extraordinary, he went away from giving lebron/wade space to operate

^ yup

this team is such a unique team, from pop all the way to the end of the roster

i honestly would say the turning point of the playoffs was when the spurs were getting beatdown in okc and boris and joseph performed the way they did vs okc in game 4, from that point, this team just played excellent basketball

There should be a co-MVP award for Pop tbh.

It's not about just these games, it goes all the way back to the way he and the culture developed this team - Leonard (omfg Leonard!), bringing in Mills and Baynes, Diaw, etc., minute management, never panicking when things turn in the wrong direction, long-term perspective, etc etc etc. I never lose faith in the big-picture decision-making of this organisation.

Pop made some mistakes these playoffs, as does every human being, but he learned from every one of them and adjusted. A+

A

Only thing tonight was benching Patty after he scored 17 points in 16 minutes.
Enrique then hit his next six shots after being 0-10 so, whatever....:lol

omg that d gameplan not to let the heat's 3 pt shooters beat them, biggest diff in the series imo

switching when necessary any time allen may possibly get space

and the decision of just switching overall, just trying to stay in front of every heat player without worrying about mismatches, whether patty ends up on lebron, parker on bosh etc...

silverblack mystix could've done better, but I think this was Pop's greatest coaching, especially to guide the team out of last year.

Probably best coaching of his career.

A+.

Notice how this time he started the fourth with Duncan and other studs in the lineup this time to make sure Miami got no life or hope at all. He learned.

I also loved how he took the starters out one at a time so the fans could cheer each one individually.

I would say A+

In the past I criticized him for now adjusting fast enough (e.g. not developing Splitter fast enough and taking way too long to play him against Memphis in 11) but this time around it was not the case. He kept making the right choice, especially starting Diaw against Miami. Great job all-around, he managed to motivate everybody, knowing when to bench Green, when to show consideration for Kawhi, when to praise Tony for leadership and sacrifice, when to sit his starters, etc. He kept everybody focused.

:clap

I hope it ends the stupid threads around here saying that he cost us this and that. He's going to go in the books as one of the best ever. Like Tim, we should all appreciate him while he's ours. He never let up on this team until they won.

Still, if it wasnt for his brain fart, we would have repeated TBH

All i can say, Pop needs to pay for coach Rick's next vacation.

Pop needs to be in CIA mode and make Rick Carlise his successor.

Really good. He anticipated the Heat's adjustments all series long. Probably should also thank Carslile for pushing us to our best ball.

A-, only in the fact that Carlisle out coached Pop more often than Pop out coached Carlisle.

A because it took him 2 games to figure out OKC and Miami.
