These Spurs are the best team they have ever played against in their basketball careers..

Historic team, tbh..highest point-differential in playoffs history and best shooting % in Finals history, too..

Seemed like every game there was one record or another getting broken.

So proud of these guys and their resilience.

No one expected this, for sure. Heat are shocked, I'm shocked, the NBA is shocked, SAS is shocked, the basketball world is shocked. Probably the only people not shocked is the Spurs themselves.

It's almost a tidal change. From the Jordan era of the individual star ending with the LeBron age, back to what it should be, teams winning.

This is good for the NBA. It's the blueprint to follow. It's the new way....which is the old way.

I actually thought they took the loss with dignity and class. I was very concentrated on demonizing them for obvious reasons, but was impressed by their owning up to the better team winning.

They were awesome.

After that wierd first round they never lost more than 2 games. That's astonishing really. Not even closed to feeling threatened by anyone.

Showtime Spurs tbh. Tim is our Kareem. Tony Boris and Manu combine for some Magic, Kawhi is,... uh, Scottie Pippen if he would have been a laker, Matt Bonner is Kurt Rambis. D green Michael cooper and Patty Mills and cojo providing the Byron Scott role

but the offensive display and pace is on par and this Finals being the most lopsided as far as point differential goes speaks volumes about this team.

Yep...I keep thinking of the boxer that gets pummeled and during the post fight interview can't own up to the decision. This was a knockout in every sense of the word. There's no doubt who is the best team. Bosh, James and the Heat know it. The doubting media knows it. And with the resounding Finals series, the basketball world knows it.

They also know that they probably should have been swept.

My question is, if the Cheat series resulted in a sweep, would this record be possible?
