He did bring up something that I think flies by most of us Spurs or NBA fans in general. Leonard, as of this moment, can drive, finish inside, shoot from anywhere on the floor, can hit shots off the dribble, creates plays in transition, AND he has a mean post game. I mean, the dude just finished averaging 17ppg and 6rpg in the NBA Finals. That is actually quite the arsenal, now imagine how much better his conditioning could be after training with Tim Grover this off-season.

As for experience, you can add in the 3 WCF appearances, 2 NBA Finals, AND a championship. All of this success will only make him that much more composed in clutch situations.

Now think about this - the man is 22. Geez.

:lol Tim Grover saying on ESPN 1st Take before game 1 that he think Wade still got at least 4 good years left

Was watching Pops post game presser, he just said he still hasn't ran any plays for Leonard these playoffs, that's fucking insane, you can just imagine when he does this upcoming season. Guys have complete trust in him now, this is the beginning of a new era.

Leonard's got superstar potential.

He is still very young. He deserves his money but a situation where he has all the pressure on him is to be avoided imo.
The Spurs having such a capable offense and the distribution of pressure really helps. Or he could become one of the many big scorers/amazing players who are horribly inefficient and don't win... On another team. How would Carmello Anthony play raised as a Spur? With other guys who will receive not only the praise, but the burden (ie a big 3)

The Parker sucks ballhog
The Ginobili is a reckless failure
The Duncan is too old, can't finish.

(all of the above from last year)

I want some protection for Leonard to let him fully grow into his role, whatever it evolves to be. We don't need a Boy George situation where he begs Lebron for advice.

Coach Nick ranks the 2014 Spurs top 6 or top 7 alltime in his postgame show (about the 29 minute mark)
