How do you ride the coattails of Stern, Phil, Shaq, MVPau, Horry, Fisher, Bynum, and Odom as a role player and still be considered "better than Duncan"?

Proud of dem Kings but get Lebron out your mouth. He played a great Finals but not the best time to argue a Lebron vs. debate.

Part of what makes a player great is his ability to adapt his game and to mentor others. The fact that Tim could mentor two different teammates to a Finals MVP is amazing, considering he's got three himself. It puts him in rare air indeed. Even the GOAT couldn't do that.

And yet the "great Kirby" has ZERO FINALS MVPS,

and ZERO SEASON MVPS FROM SHAQ'S 3 PEAT...

You aren't doing Kirby any favors,

whatsoever.

I get you're trying to troll, but the simple answer is that Tim is out of his prime. He's 38 years old, and has managed to maintain the most playoff minutes for us whilst still being very valuable and efficient on the court. Kawhi was able to do more things on the court that Tim could never really do (slash, quick footwork, long range shots, etc.), which really aided us in the series against the Heat.

Jordan is regarded as the GOAT: remember when he came back in the league in 2001? Jordan was still the GOAT despite clearly not being the best at that moment (many other players surpassed him due to his age), but yet he was still a pretty good player despite numbers that weren't all that impressive compared to his prior resume. Michael Jordan didn't win league MVP those years, it didn't mean that he was no longer considered the best of all time.

You do it once, and I'll give you a pass, but to do it twice in your career, then you ain't fooling no one!
