View Full Version : Heat: Why did Spo wait so long to give Beasly a shot?

Spoelstra was asked after Game 4 if he would put Michael Beasly in to get some potential scoring from the sluggish Miami O (sans LeBron).
Spor looked like he just swallowed a baseball and just say a few words like "yes we might try that".

Granged, Beasleys hoops came with the Spurs up 20 and probably coasting, but he still looked very sharp on O.
The Spurs were contesting his shots and he kept making a fair amount.

Regrets?

He was horrific on the defensive end 1 film session and they would have exploited him on the other end for the rest of the series

He couldn't have possibly been any worse than Wade was. Him and Haslem needed more minutes, while Wade and Anderson needed less.

Because CW told him to....& after he and Riley had the shit scared out of them last June, they were going by the book and strictly so right to the bitter end.

This. He committed some stupid fouls and if he shared the court with the Heat's big 3, he would have either disappeared and pouted or started chucking.

The man can't recognize his own leg. The Spurs would have put up 140 if he'd been getting big minutes.
