I think the Spurs have a great shot at repeating, but no one knows what the future holds.

It is almost impossible to find any other championship for SA as sweet as this one considering everything we've endured over the past few years. In the 2000's we had some heartbreaking plays and moments, whereas in this decade we've had in some cases a series of heartbreaking games, one after the other.

I was always told myself if the Spurs ever won another ring I would cherish it like no other. 2007 was awesome, but I was totally spoiled by that run and simply expected that there would be more rings on the way.

Just didn't expect it to take this long :lol

This is the first sick day I have taken from work due to being hungover beyond recognition (Canadian beer is damn good fellas!)

Anyways, what a glorious season. I know this board has lost some key posters over the years, but a whole hell of a lot of you are fantastic.

Gonna bump this post in a year :toast

We waited a long time. Saw it slip away last year. I have never seen a franchise comeback from such a nut punch as the Finals loss last year. We may even have a shot at a repeat if we stay focused. Savor it indeed. 2007 was a long time ago.

Feel bad for Blair though...

:toast The Spurs were able to beat the Heat and the refs and survive your crazy fucking voodoo to make 5 a reality.

Honestly, even if this Spurs win next year, nothing is going to top this especially after what happen last year. 7 years and everybody had written the Spurs off. This one aged like fine wine.

Agree with all these takes. I watched all playoff games nervous, tight, standing the entire time. When we were down 22-6 in the first quarter my wife looked at me when I fell to my knees after another Spurs miss thinking I might have a stroke. This one feels better than all the rest. I'm going to watch next season with more reverence and appreciation. Try to have fun with it go to more games. I want to win it all again next year but if we don't I'm now at peace. Go Spurs Go, it's been a long 7 years....

I'm happy, but part of me hopes they all just retire, so I can not go through all of this again

I remember 07 like it was yesterday...I was still in high school following my favorite team. I was also spoiled by that run.

This is by far the sweetest championship of all. Best one I've ever experienced and probably will.

Yes! I too am ready to die now. :lol

This was one of the greatest title runs of all time, no doubt. The storyline is just epic, considering what happened last year.

I'm in Houston so don't get SAEN. Awesome cover on their part. Bravo

This is easily my favorite title run of them all. I didn't start following the Spurs until the 99 season, so I didn't suffer through the years of failure before hand. This has been the longest drought I have experienced with the team. Combine last year's loss, along with going through several rivals in route to the title, and it just makes this year so special.
