Past 2 seasons the spurs have done the revenge tour:
- Swept the Lakers after 0.4 in 2004 and the airplane / Barry's foul in 2008
- Swept Memphis after 8 in 2011
- Destroyed the Mavs in a game 7 after what happened in 2006's game 7 with the Manu's foul
- Beat OKC for the 2012 WCF and the rigged games
- And finally, Miami for 6 in 2013

Which team is next?
Houston for the D-Rob days and Harden?

Houston is the one single team we have not paid back.

Houston is irrelevant. They can keep 95 since they have nothing else to look forward to.

Be nice to dust up Phil but Knicks will never be relevant enough

Only thing left on my wishlist:

Suns sneak into the playoffs next year, Spurs sweep them in the first round, and hold Dragic under 10ppg over the 4 games.

In a way they did pay them back late this season by beating them in SA. It put them in a downward spiral that knocked them out of the playoffs

You left the revenge for Game 7 2006 vs Dallas off the list, that was awesome to obliterate them by 30 points at home in another Game 7 setting

The tour is definetly complete. Now, it's just a matter of how much icing they want on the cake.

the only team that to this point has the "last laugh" on the Duncan led Spurs are the Suns... we haven't avenged 2010. Duncan's spurs have a winning streak against every opponent they've faced in the playoffs besides the Suns

2013 to Miami... got revenge
2012 to OKC... got revenge (this year WCF)
2011 to Memphis... got revenge (last year WCF)
2010 to Suns... :cry
2009 to Mavs... beat them in 2010 as well as this season
2008 to Lakers... SWEEP
06, 04, 02, 01 to the Mavs/Lakers as well. 00 to the Suns :cry. 98 to Jazz, but we've beaten them since then

Lol, the suns aint got shit on us, they didnt win shit that year and we overachieved as a 7 seed to get to the second round. Suns still hate us for crushing their championship dreams in 2005-07, thats why Nash was in tears when they beat a shitty spurs team in 2010, their fans know who truly has the last laugh

The Spurs were a couple of breaks away from playing the Suns, Rockets, Thunder, and Heat on the way to a title. Those were four of the five teams that had beaten the Spurs in their last playoff meeting. The other being Washington. Or am I missing some other East teams that beat the Spurs while the Spurs were in the East?

We still owe Phoenix an ass kicking, preferably a sweep. Dragic is still on the team and while we paid Nash (hobbled, but still) back with a sweep, Amar'e is nothing and in the east, Dragic is owed an ass kicking of a life time.

The suns of Dragic actually. Anyway, a lot has been done already. It's satisfied.

Vengeance is not complete until Houston and Washington go down.

Not sure I'd count sweeping the Lakers last year as revenge for 04 and 08 tho

Well if you guys werent so mediocre we'd be able to play you on a larger stage

One of my sweetest memories this year will be retiring Fisher and seeing tears in his eyes.

But anyway, I'm not satisfied with this year's Finals, it hasn't been enough for me to avenge what happened last year. I want to see them back next year for the tie breaker, and definitely break that team apart.

I wouldnt call the Lakers that year mediocre. I'd say awful and lucky to be 8th tbh prior to achilles happening. Lakers had no business in the playoffs.

I tend to agree they revenge is needed against teams when we were contenders. Don't believe 2010 was a contending team. I think they won 50 games only.

I don't give a shit about that team while McHale is coaching. I still want to see Duncan send Miami down in flames again. He got his revenge in 5, but fuck them forever.

The other being Washington.
I think you have to give up on that one. Spurs would have to send them the big 3 to make them relevent

Anyway, if you go Tim Duncan era. He has paid back every team except the suns.

Meh.. we've beaten them enough in the past. And that Spurs team in 2010 was awful anyway.

The Suns got a couple of prepaid ass-kickings so I'm okay with that one.

I think we paid it forward in plenty on those suns.

Spurs did a big part in keeping them out of the playoffs. And judging by SunFan JMarks' reaction to RC winning Executive of the Year, I think they got some of that revenge dish Pop & Co. were serving up tbh......

Thats what I was thinking. We thumped them enough with Hip Check Horry. And we used to out them with regularity when they had a prime Amare and prime Nash. I wouldn't had mind outing that queer Dwight Howard though instead of Portland,

Yes, the Spurs are the NBA standard now, but this time the whole world seems to acknowledge it for a change.
There will be those teams who try to copy it, team play.
The Spurs best not stand pat.
