I'm going to the Alamodome. Last Championship celebration I've been to was in 2003. I didn't have a way of going in 2005 and 2007, so I'm pumped for this one this time around. There is time for both technically though I've never been to the parade. The thing with the parade is you have to get there pretty damn early to get a good spot otherwise you can't see shit. If you go to the Alamodome first you get a great seat in the air conditioning and get to watch the parade on the screens in there. Then all of a sudden the parade you were just watching comes rolling into the dome via buses and the Spurs get up on stage and all talk. Plus they've always had the concession stands open, etc. As far as getting good seats, there really aren't any terrible seats in the dome but obviously the earlier you get there the closer you can be.

A suggestion for ST people: I've always stood on the stretch of the river along Market St. It's more crowded there but you get to see them go by twice. In the map it's the little tail piece that ends at the convention center, lower right hand, parallel to Commerce St. Then you can hurry over to the Alamodome.

Actual Alamodome parking is reserved for people with permits for most events (season ticket holders in this case). It's not hard to find ~$10 parking within walking distance though.
