When broadcasters will casually refer to Leonard as "last year's final MVP", when they talk about how Duncan is the best player of his generation, when they speak about Manu's amazing redemption story, when they ackowledge Tony as the best PG in the game, when the Spurs will simply be called "the 5 times NBA champions".

We'll finally stop seeing or hearing anything related to 6 in every other quarter. Also, Spurs will finally be the default home team in 2k15.. ijs

Only question: Is Tim Duncan will give us a retirement year...

We will not longer be subjected to Ray Allen's corner 3 or Lebron's block on Tiago every fucking ad break on League Pass.
All those ESPN mini-montages where they show the champions from each sport leading into a show will now have the Spurs in them. (do they still do that?)
It's the little things.

Yes. Might be the only time I'll buy an original copy of the game...
As for OP, yep, also this off-season. Heck, I'm pumped for the draft just because we won the 'ship. :lol

Yes, it's gonna be the exact opposite of this year when they constantly talked about game 6 and I wanted them to shut the fuck up about it !

Finals love is nice. Don't think that anything has changed with the national media.
Lebron and the heat and Kobe's return get more burn until or if we make the finals next year.

I read a post on another website where someone referred to the Spurs as the champs in a casual way and it made me more happy than it should have.

This. Made early season games hard.

Talking about that, the only retirement announcement that makes sense is either to say it clearly beforehand (D-Rob did that, I think?) or announce it straight after the last game of the season. There's no point in announcing it 3 weeks after the end of the season.

I just checked 2K14 ratings.
:wow Manu at 86, I didn't think he would be that high after last season's finals and :lol Diaw at 64, I bet he will be at least at 75 in 2K15.

I think this may be quite true for you younger Spurs fans, but us old timers have been through this many times.
Every year is a chance to win a championship.

Not true...they will talk about 6 more than ever, but it will have a different meaning as the Spurs seek to repeat and earn number 6.

If anything, Spurs will be the best team, and 2k15 is going to hack the game and give Lebron like a 150 rating or something :lol

What were kawhi's ratings? He probably won't have ratings equal to his finals performance. That would be too unfair to every other team in the videogame.

Don't remember, tbh. In the high 70s I think.

I'll be enjoying it even more next season.
after last year's collapse, I was definitely in shock at first, then it grew into a terrible feeling for months. I eventually made peace with why it happened.
this year, I was in shock once again. But it's turned into a much better feeling as I've had more time to realize and appreciate the situation. Each day I enjoy it more than the previous, so by next season I should be feeling pretty good. So I got that going for me.

As long as Chris Paul is in the league you will not hear this outside of a Spurs broadcast IMO.

No Spur would have a rating above 90 but no one will be below 70.
2K ratings are a joke when it comes to rating the collective make up of a team to begin with. It's criminal how crappy the Spurs' role players are rated.

The NBA will be much more enjoyable. Spur fan themselves will become more obnoxious.
