Fuck him. Spurs don't play to beat Kobe. He's irrelevant until he becomes an opponent in a meaningful game. Might as well talk about how Caron Butler feels... he's at least been in a series against us in the past 5 years.

Actually, only two playoffs ago the Lakers did face us in the playoffs. I'm sure Kobe hasn't forgotten being totally swept out of the gym by us.

Kobe Bryant will never get number six because he refuses to accept less money to bring in more talent to help him and he will never accept winning a championship on a team where he is not allowed to shoot 25+ times a game to get his 30 points. It was never just about winning a championship for him his ego always demanded that he was the man.

Bryant deserves his bread. Dude is the biggest name on the most popular team in the world.
I can easily see how he believes he's due that contract. Punt is LA can still build around him if they hadn't screwed around and paid Nash and other bums a ton of dough.
That being said, he's stuck looking at the Spurs running away for their SIXTH title.

No, they can't build around Bryant, because he isn't a building block. His game is selfish, and his attitude drives players out of town. To top it off, he isn't that good (anymore or at all; doesn't really matter how you view that). He's injured and was easy enough to shut down even he played recently.
It's extremely hard to build a title team around a wing in the first place. The fact that the Lakers are still giving the keys to the franchise to an old, injured wing with an inflated opinion of themselves means they're throwing the next two years (at least) down the toilet.

This. And while I'm no Howard fan, his refusal to at least pretend to share the spotlight with Dwight chased (yet another) superior center away from the team. With Howard, at least, they'd have a chance at being a lower seed in the West. Now Kobe gets to spend his twilight years as irrelevant.

Theres a video were he congratulated Duncan and the spurs for winning their 5th. It's not on YouTube you have to google search for it. You can also see the "salt" comments even though if you listen to Kobe's tone he wasn't actually salty.
