Celtics from the 50s to the 70s, perhaps.
Bulls 6 in 8 years, in modern memory.
Maybe there was some dominant iced hockey team? Only Canadians and your weird uncle care about that shit.
Maybe the Green Bay Sausage Packers of the 1910s were better.

The Patriots get a a lot of love but they haven't won jack since the first Bush administration.

Anyways, 5>2>1 we own this state.

Yeah, the Yankees probably won 25 in a row at some point.

No other team in history has done this as far as longevity. Kobe's Lakers may still do this. A 16-season championship window, with more to come possibly. To do what Duncan/Pop and the Spurs have done:

Magic Johnson or Kareem would still have had to have been with the Lakers, winning a championship, in 1995.
Jordan would have to still be winning a championship with the Bulls in 2006.
Kobe has to (maybe can) win a championship in 2015.
Larry Bird would have to be playing for/winning a championship with the Celtics in 1996.

No other team has done what the Duncan Spurs have, and no team ever will, unless Kobe can make it back to the Finals and win another next year, making that also 15 years between the first and most recent championship.

Over the last 17 years, the Spurs franchise is the most successful in THAT period.

That's good enough for me.
