That part never grows old. Great actors even on the periphery lend to it.

But, it was so contrived and out of left field to the story line. In Fellas it was integral. In Casino it was embarrassing. But, to be frank there is a lot of embarrassing moments in Casino. It looked harried from the start and it never got better.

Not sure what scene you're talking about but Casino was very very closely based on a true story. Look up Lefty Rosenthal. Pretty much everything in there happened. Was amazed when I watched an A&E bio of this Rosenthal how true it was. They just had to change the names for whatever reason

For a short time you need nothing else, it's all right there. Then slowly but surely life creeps back in around you, the knot in your stomach starts to tighten once more and you'll start seeing the grotesque in the old Cubster once again. Kinda feel the same way. When Goodfellas is over you can hardly tell it's been almost 3 hours. There are parts in Casino where you're looking at your watch thinking, "STILL not over?"
