Only Game 7 in 2005 was comparable, IMO.

I thought it was amazing. The level of intensity was beyond any other game I have been to for obvious reasons. The place was exploding I could barely hear at times....and I was in a suite. Great game and a great night.

I agree with this. Only difference that made game 7 in 2005 a little better was I remember a majority of the crowd standing from tip off to trophy presentation.
However, the dot race during the timeout was more intense for game 5 Sunday night, tbh.

The crowd was pretty damn good. It was especially loud when the Spurs made their run to take the lead in the second quarter, and when Mills went off in the 3rd to put the Spurs up 20. It was ridiculous!!! I never heard it that loud before. I will say that at the end of the game it wasn't as loud as I thought it was. Probably due to the game being a total beat down and the ending was written long before the final buzzer sounded. It was still awesome though.

I was proud of the fans for once tbh they really stepped up in the Finals after sucking ass most of the season/postseason

I think it would be hard to match Game 7 in 2005 for a lot of different reasons. I though the Game 5 crowd in 2014 was very good -- it sensed the moment before the game and most everyone seemed to have gotten to the arena and in the seating area before the game started. The crowd got a little quiet with Miami's early run, but came alive in the 2nd with the Spurs' run and stayed pretty involved and loud through most of the second half. I think that because the lead was so big (and the outcome seemed inevitable) the crowd wasn't as relentless as it was for Game 7 in 2005.

In Game 7 in 2005 the Spurs trailed a significant part of the way and the game was close pretty much to the end. Plus, in Game 6 of the 2005 Finals, the crowd was just awful and I think the people who were there for Game 6 knew that the crowd's effort for Game 7 had to be much better and responded.

A Game 5 with a potential clinch was obviously exciting, but it's not a Game 7.

When Leonard hit that fast break 3 to take the lead, I thought the Spur fans were going to riot. It sounded like the crowd was reaching a feverish pitch from the TV.

Game 7 2005 has to be my favorite finals game I went to. Standing the whole game but for time outs
and the half. We yelled the whole game because it was just so intense.

Apples and Oranges. 2015 G 5 picked up as the game did and when it did the crown went nuts. During the Heat run in the 1st Q the crowd was quiet but wanted to bust out. At 2005 G7 we stood up for the entire game. There was more tension in the room. But it was a different feel since it was winner take all. This years G5 was more grateful in a way. Especially during Manu and Mills tear in the 3rd quarter everyone was starting to feel it because the foot on the Heat's throat aspect, Everyone seemed to be in awe. I imagine if there was a G7 this year it would have been similar to 2005 G7.

Just my 2cents, tbh

I went to game 7 in 2005. The crowd was standing and chanting GO SPURS GO!!! for about 20 minutes before tip off. That was unusual, insane and very intense. Like others have said, the euphoria was unbelievable at the end because it was a close out game for both teams. Detroit was a much more difficult and even match up for the Spurs that year.

2014 was pure joy with little anxiousness. We were down 16 points early and you just knew it wasn't going to last. There was no denying a Championship and the crowd was going to make sure of it. You could just feel it.

It was UNREAL! Best crowd i have ever been to. My ears were ringing the day after haha. I was so proud of that crowd we stayed on them from the 2nd quarter on. 1st quarter we were just getting warmed up lol. I was literally screaming my lungs off and it felt like i was just talking normal. It was that loud.
