Now that the 2014 season is over, they've updated the career RAPM numbers from 1997 to 2014..these are the numbers(per 100) for players of this era that have played more than 70 000 possessions, regarding impact on their teams, tbh:

Lebron +5.63
Duncan +5.09
Shaq +5.08
Garnett +4.75
Nowitzki +4.22
Rasheed Wallace +3.36
Kobe +2.96
Nash +2.77
Carter +2.65
Kidd +2.58
Pierce +2.37
Parker +2.15
Ben Wallace +2.07
Gasol +1.76
Allen +1.76
Joe Johnson +1.15
Fisher +1.12
Marion +1.04
Billups +0.95
Iverson +0.94
Jamison +0.2
Terry +0.04

Rasheed being so high is a little surprising, tbh..

Gino had only 50000ish possessions but would be 4th on the list

Why is Kirby so low?

Top 5 seems about right, especially if you put Manu at #4.

Manu's impact is elite in every advanced metric, but skewed by the lack of possessions/minutes compared to other star players..so, same old debate with Ginobili, regarding whether he would be durable enough to maintain his impact at a high-minutes volume..

What is RAPM?

Regularized Adjusted Plus Minus. Also known as one of the best advanced stats in existence.

Do you think he would be able to mantain those advanced stats playing 35 mins during his prime? I think he most definitely will. They may slip a bit but not enough to stop being elite numbers.

You also thought Ginobili wouldn't score 20 pts on a game ever again so excuse me for not giving a fuck about your opinions.

:lol

In his prime with starter minute I'm pretty sure Manu would be very high on such a list

Manu Ginobili is the greatest international player of all time and a definite Top 50 player of all time.

He had the league's highest RAPM in 2006-2007 the year Tony Parker won MVP.

It is not that far off to suggest that Manu could have had 3 FMVP if he chose to advertise himself more or be the focus (2005, 2007, 2013). He rightfully knows however that future human beings will be able to calculate true value and will laugh at the fact that previously media people put in 7 votes to see who got FMVP etc.

I don't think it would be a dramatic drop, tbh, he would be a top 10 player in his prime IMO..

I'm not sure how durable he would be from a long-term perspective, though, his style of play is pretty extreme..it would have been cool to have SportsVu stats in Ginobili's prime, I bet he would have been near the top in distance traveled on the court..

Also, unlike most perimeter stars, Ginobili was actually a good defender in his prime and constantly exerted defensive energy, both as a man defender and help defender.. Most star perimeter players tend to coast on defense when they have a higher offensive volume, but I don't know if Ginobili would accept that, tbh:lol..
