Wow. That brings back memories of watching Aussie football on ESPN in the late '80s.

Patty's a bit short for the AFL. But with his speed, he may be able to carve out a niche in the NRL.

Plenty of short guys in AFL.
I am a basketball tragic, but to my mind there's no better game in the world to watch than AFL, especially at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. :D

I love AFL. It's my fourth-favorite sport behind American Football, basketball and rugby. They used to show a game a week on some international channel in Philadelphia. I wish I could see more.

AFL was a big thing in my Perth days, but after moving to Sydney, everything here revolves around the NRL.
By the way, fuck the Maroons!

Thanks ESPN for giving us Jacko and Lou Richards back in the mid-1980s. I fell in love with Footy ever since. Patty would be a good person for that league imho.

He'd be a great player, like Cyril Rioli I reckon. :lobt2:

Paul Roos tried to lure him back to sign in the afl a while back.
Good thing he didn't obviously for us and for him no way he ever gets to see a pay day like he's about to in the AFL
