Patty Mills took the mic during the Spurs championship celebration in the Alamodome on Wednesday night to poke a little fun at his teammates while thanking them for a great season. And social media is still buzzing about it.
"It's probably something we could probably get trending," Mills said about the team's nickname for Boris Diaw.
"Bobo is the the man for daydreaming and gazing off into the stars and having absolutely no idea what's going on around him. This is called 'Boboing'," Mills said.
Spurs fans on Twitter jumped on the meme, and #Boboing (https://twitter.com/hashtag/boboing?src=tren) was born.
During the ceremony, Mills told a story to illustrate Diaw's propensity for daydreaming. With the Finals series tied 1-1, Diaw almost missed an important film meeting.
"Bobo was no where to be found. He had no idea that we had a film session. He was about, what, 15 minutes late? He was in his room watching TV!"Mills said.
The Twitter hash tag continued trending at No. 1 in San Antonio on Thursday.
Mills' comedic and athletic performances have many fans Boboing for his return next season.
"So for everyone you see stargazing or gazing off into the stars, remind them that they're Boboing."
