2 of the shittiest shows on TV these days, which one is worse, in your opinion?

I find it sad how Futurama can't find a network to air on while these 2 shitfests continue to get primetime TV slots..

Haven't watched the Simpsons in years, Family Guy has gotten pretty bland the last 6 years or so, I myself prefer American Dad.

The Simpsons is worse just for the longevity of its suckitude.... that show has been trash since season 9, yet season 26 is about to begin this fall :lol

I just looked it up, and Simpsons season 26 is going to begin with one of the major characters being killed off.... need I say more :lol

I can't decide which sucks worse nowadays, Family Guy, or McFarlane's even shittier ripoffs of his own show (Cleveland Show, American Dad, etc.).... his material hasn't been funny in years and just panders to the lowest common denominator, tbh....

Simpsons really fell off after Conan left and bottomed out after Dana Gould left.

Family Guy's formula was stale after the third season back and gets worse every time I see it.

Bob's Burgers puts both to shame now.

Family guy but mostly due to the fact McFarlane had used its success, to parlay it to more crap as someone posted here his rip off. He's basically Tyler Perry but for the lower common denominator.

I agree with what everyone's saying. Also, Futurama's newest run a couple years ago was pretty dull. South Park has become basically just a topical story every week although the comedy is on the incline the past season or so. And Seth Macfarlane is Tyler Perry for whites AND blacks. If what Matt Stone and Trey Parker always say is true, and I'm assuming it is considering his shitty shows are everywhere, he gets crazy numbers. Bottom line, King of the Hill was never the side splitting comedy but it also never sucked

They're both terrible, but Simpsons has been unwatchable since mid 1998 after being incredible until then.

eventually Lisa became the little liberal cunty voice of reason. She became the end-all be-all commentary. It's the same path Modern Family is going with Alex minus the politics

I've never kept up regularly with either show, so if I occasionally catch one it's pretty damn funny. Same with South Park. I've never watched an episode of Futurama.

Alot of the episodes that focused on Peggy were pretty bad tbqh. Only complaint with the show

It turned to shit earlier than 1998, tbh.... "The Principal and the Pauper" was the end of The Simpsons as a watchable show....

The one where Peggy thought that Mexican telenovela star wanted to bang her was pretty fucking hilarious. But yeah,

King of the Hill >> Family Guy = Simpsons = NCIS = dogshit

Oh ok, that was the specific turning point where it went from greatest show ever to biggest piece of shit ever almost overnight. I thought that was in 98, not 97.

NCIS is indeed terrible.... CBS knows their audience is a bunch of elderly neocons who have forgotten how to change the channel, so all they do nowadays is make military porn for them :lol

Concur.
Simpsons after being great has sucked for years.
I watch an ep about once a year to see if it's turned around. Nope.

Family Guy i did not watch till about 3 years ago. I lasted about 10 minutes til it's low brow got redundant.

American Dad i have not kept up with.
One of the better eps was when Stan kidnapped the kids of a gay couple and was trying to drive them to Nebraska. Nebraska at the time was a no flamer marriage state.

Family Guy was finished after the 1st season, and that was like 7 episodes.

Can't speak about presently. But Simpsons lost it's mojo when Family Guy came onto the scene. Family Guy was the Cocaine version of Simpsons.

It's interesting to read in this thread that Lisa is now a major focus. I remember vividly when the focus of the show shifted from Bart (Remember the Bart Man song) to Homer.

Family Guy kinda stole the concept by focusing their show on the even dumber Peter.

I took me a few months to get into American Dad. But it is well rounded with the Alien, Fish and also Family. The father isn't a complete empty head like Homer or Peter which adds an angle.

from the little I've seen it's still the same "Robot Chicken disguised as a sitcom" type humor.

Yes that's an accurate critique. Fortunately it hasn't jumped the shark yet so episodes still follow a general plot.

Family guy was incredible for its first few seasons and since macfarlane tried to branch out his effort in FG waned and the quality dropped fast. Futurama was always much more clever than family guy. Simpsons has simply been around too long

American Dad is so far above Cleveland Show and now even Family Guy IMO. I haven't watched the Simpsons in at least 10 years.

Everyone I know loves that show, but after watching the first couple of episodes, I just can't get over how annoying the kids are. Tina's voice makes me angry.

American Dad is the shit tbh. It's great because I think it's a lot of the writers from the early seasons of Family Guy.

Last episode I saw of Family Guy either had a chicken fight or a musical number. That was years ago. Horrible horrible show.

I just saw recently a Simpsons episode in LEGO, which was surprisingly funny.

Haven't watched a new episode of Simpsons since about 2005 I think. But as mentioned, prime Simpsons was just incredible.

I watched Family Guy until about season 6... then it got boring.

Everytime I flick over and see American Dad I get stuck watching it and really enjoy it. Should probably go back and watch the last 4 years worth... I enjoyed the first few seasons but then just drifted away from it.

American Dad is funny as fuck tbh. Family Guy has sucked since about 2007 imo and was never as good as it was before it was initially cancelled. The Cleveland Show had its moments but the problem is outside of Cleveland and the black Stewie, none of the characters were really likeable or memorable.

But yeah American Dad is the funniest cartoon on tv atm imho tbqh fwiw.

Bob's Burgers is also pretty good but the wife is awful I can't stand that bitch, she's almost as bad as the worst cartoon wife of all-time, Peggy Hill

Yeah, that one is not one that I ever get around to watching. Passable, but just barely. Not worth the time, IMO.
