That's right, blame the white man (McHale) for what the black man (Howard) has wrought.

I wonder how many coaches ol' mamba will have gotten fired by the end of his career. Should be a glorious season for the lakers. :toast

Real murderers row of coaches those Lakers have lined up there. Is Lindsey Hunter available?

Mike Brown
Mike D' Antoni
Mike Dunleavy

It appears that the Lakers are limiting their coaching candidates to a group that shares a very specific characteristic.

Byron Scott is underrated imo, plus is an ex-Laker. Seems most likely at this point.

Whoever they get isn't going to matter anyway. Nothing about playing for them is appealing atm besides the cash they can offer. . .which isn't even that much because of Kobe's contract.

At least we've never been forced at gunpoint to give an NBA Title back.

"I don't even think about the Boone homer anymore."

Bill Simmons, after his Red Sox rang in '04.

6 went from soul crushing torture to an itch that was scratched away. Just like that.

Right but, he remembers every knife the Lakers have stuck him with and every knife he's stuck in them.

& if you'd a scratched that itch "away" you wouldn't be talking about it come Saturday morn.

Christ, there is nothing wrong with bearing one's cross. There is no purpose to brazening it out in public. You're among friends, fellow sufferers to one degree or another.

I didn't bring it up. Being light one will always nag at you, I suppose, but at the end of the day, it's better than being light two.

It just "nags" now, rather than "hurts."

I'm glad that 6 provides you with the sustenance to remain here, but it's no longer a source of pain for us. Those wounds into which you so gleefully poured salt since last June are now completely healed. The scars will always remain, to be sure, but even they will fade with time.

So rage on if it brings you solace, those words can no longer harm their intended targets.
