He doesn't have the ball handling skills to be an elite all star pg.

PG position is the most stacked in the NBA.. :lol no way Mills ever sniffs an ASG in his career

This.

PG is indeed most stacked. SG is least stacked.

Mills doesn't get enough touches to be even in consideration for an All-Star spot. I think he knows that he can be a solid PG/SG off the bench but I don't think he has the skill set to be a starter night in and night out.

Watch an Australian game to see how he plays when he is the best player on the team.

I doubt he'll make an All-Star team because the league is stacked with elite PGs, but I think he can be a very solid starting PG within two years.

When Tim and Manu likely leave after next season, TP will be given the option to stay and help with the transition or be traded to a contender. If he stays I think he goes into a Manu-like 6th man role to prolong his career, while Patty becomes the starter.

Highly doubtful, but this is a kid that continues to improve and exceed expectations.

A lot of people on this board (as late as the opening month of the regular season) didnt even believe he was an NBA-calibre player, let alone contribute to solid wins and eventually the Finals. He did all that though and plays at that level as far as international competition is concerned.

Silver Stars > Australian Team

Silver Stars > Australian Team

I think the point is more that Patty leads a weak Australian team well and led the last Olympics in scoring. He's a big game player and always has been.

patty has had a great year, but an all star no. It is a popularity contest, but Patty will not get to that level.

Patty Mills is our Stephen Curry and we didn't even know it. So we have Tim, Tony and Manu. and the Kawhi, Diaw and Patty. We are loaded. We just need to sign these guys quick.

If Magloire could be an All star 10 years ago.. Mills can if he could play like he does for 30+ minutes

Or look at the big games he had last season... He beat Portland, GS, and the Clippers by himself :lol

If he was a team's number 2 option (which I think he could be), he could absolutely be an all star. I could see him putting up 23 ppg, 5 assists, and a couple of steals per game. I hope he stays a Spur for life and steps in as the starter when Parker moves on. It will be tough to keep him.
