Let em have him.

Carmelo sucks. My hope is he'll go to Lakers and he and Kobe can take turns jacking up bad shots.

The NBA won't let that happen. They won't have the cap space anyway.

Melo would definitely improve the Heat, but they would still matchup horrendously v the Spurs

the big 3 would have to really restructure their contracts though. I think he goes to the bulls.

But but but, Pat Riley wouldn't want MarshMellow Anthony to "give up and run out" on the Knicks would he? :rolleyes

He can't afford him. The need a PG and some solid role players, not another star. Riley even said that.

They don't have the money for that either.

Calling it now: Melo will not win a championship within the next two seasons! not in MIA, not on the Bulls, not in the West!

He just isn't the type of player to make it happen in the NBA. Chicago and it's defense would give him the best shot, but that would tka ethe Ball out of Roses hands, which is great for oposing teams.

If he's the first for second best player on his team, he'll never win anything.

Free-agent whisper one week out: Mavs not only expect to have chance to make face-to-face pitch to Melo but also plan to pursue Pau Gasol

I hope the Mavs get Gasol, he & Dirk would form the softest big man tandem in the history of the game.

If he's the first for second best player on his team, he'll never win anything. You farmers crack me up talking in absolutes like that. :lol LBJ was 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in Cleveland. He didn't win shit until he got help - thru collusion, that is. He was found running away from Paul Pierce with his tail between his legs. He made it thru a weakass EC, 4 times. Bailed out twice - I mean won twice. Lost twice.

Yet he gets a pass from y'all. SMH

Melo to Houston makes sense...tho if I'm Houston, I wait another year to get Durant which would make them a championship team. Melo is hot garbage, hes the C-webb of this era, phenom talent but IQ of a monkey.

Melo to Houston or Miami doesn't make much sense to me, tbh..I don't think the current version of Harden can play with another ball-dominant player, and McHale's lack of a system wouldn't allow for another ball-dominant player to succeed..

He would improve Miami, but he doesn't solve their issues, at all..

Chicago seems like the perfect fit, they desperately need offensive talent, they are one of the least talented playoff teams I have seen in a long time..

Neither Dirk nor Gasol is soft anymore imho. Gasol is probably one of the heaviest bigs in the league today (2nd only to Porkins maybe :lol)

why are we assuming melo is going to miami?

I just want Miami to fall apart and be in salary debt after they have to waive or cut these players when they become useless. lol

they're already hamstrung with wade. he's going to give miami the kobe treatment. he was obviously the the biggest influence why miami has added 2 additional titles but dat contract is going to severely handicap their chances to retool.

why are we assuming melo is going to miami?

Until we know the status of Derrick Rose, we have no idea if Melo is any better off there than in NY. I think he stays in NY, however playing with Lebron and Wade in Miami might be candy assed enough to attract that soft ass faggot.

Except Lebron probably tells Wade "you can pull that shit, but if that means we don't get better, then I'm out and you can enjoy your golden parachute.. it's been real". If Wade just wants to fade into the sunset and rake in the welfare, that's where it will go. James and Bosh might leave as a tandem and end up elsewhere.... together.

Kobe didn't have any reason to not do that, no one bigger than him on the team holding his feet to the fire (he couldn't have felt the fire, being crippled and all).

Melo is not going to the Heat if they keep the big 3 there, where is the cap space coming from? Assuming they even had the cap space, why would you add a ball hog who isn't going to pass and take away shots from Lebron?

Chicago makes the most sense for Melo. Even if Rose is done, they still have a better team than New York, a much better coach, and it is still a big city/media market. Replace Boozer with Melo and the Bulls are the favorites to win the East IMO.

Melo is a better shooter than Lebron, but he's nowhere near the force.

No team where Melo is the best player will be the favorites as long as Lebron is on another team.
