And we end up winning number 5 last year, you think we will have repeated this year or will have played differently?

I think this ring was a product of wanting it so badly after letting it go last year and that motivation fueled us throughout, dont really think like others who are saying that we should have 6 rings now.

Game 6 killed for a whole year but doesnt really hurt anymore. For me its part of a prolonged season which ended with our deserved championship and dont see it anymore as a wasted opportunity.

I'd rather have 2013 and 2014 the way they are instead of the other way around.

Same here simply for the fact that it was full redemption mode.

if we win game 6, this year refs would've reffed OKC series all games like they reffed game 3... yeah, we'd have no chance of going through

Spurs accomplished one of the greatest redemption/revenge feats in modern sports history. 5 felt so much better this way. I can't imagine feeling better winning last year.

As heartbreaking as it was after 6 and the whole summer following where I got sick to my stomach every time I thought about Ray's three...I agree 100%.

2013 would have been incredible for many of the same reasons, but conquering that long road to redemption made 2014 one of the greatest sports stories ever told, and made it the sweetest title since '99.

Agreed with most people's thoughts about it turning out the best way. Only thing that would have made me prefer the trophy in 2013 was Duncan winning his 4th Finals MVP. Still the way it turned out is storybook.

Not saying I'd surrender a championship but the combination of the '13 heartbreak and redeeming themself in '14 may feel even better than repeating.

WERD...it was like a Hollywood ending...almost too perfect. I was worried it wasn't going to actually happen, and then it did. Barring anything really shocking in the next 6 months (like the USA winning the World Cup), it's easily the sports story of the year. :hat

Seriously STFU with game 6 already, it is done and over with. Spurs got their sweet revenge.

Enough trippin' over game 6!

It was best possible scenario...
Sweeping the pacers would not have erased 6. In fact I found myself nervous after Pacers took game 1 in ECF.

Oh, yeah...the Spurs didn't just want to win the championship, they wanted to personally take back what Miami stole from them last year.
