To me the only 2 possible landing spots for him are Cleveland or Miami.
He's not leaving. He will pressure the Heat to get players to contend again.

Hes not going to take less money to bring people in. Assuming the Heat could even afford to, bringing in Melo isn't really the solution. They still don't have any capable point guards. Lebron isn't coming back tbh

Clipper is clearly the best choice.
LeBron + Paul + Griffin + owner who just spent 2 billion + big market, and Doc Rivers a top 5 coach.
Just too unfair for anyone to deal with. Keep in mind Heat big three wasn't really a perfect combo. Too much overlap between Wade/LeBron's game, and Bosh not a traditional post player.

With what he's said about Sterling, he really can't sign there until the sale is finalized. Otherwise, a great fit.
To get Lebron, Clippers would probably have to get rid of Griffin. Cap wise anyway. THey'd have to shake it up, Jordan won't be enough.
Cavs with the #1 pick can make some noise. Wiggins, Kyrie, James would be a pretty fun back court to watch.
I do believe James is pressuring the Heat to make moves. I read Wade plans to opt out and resign a 4 yr deal worth a little more than his 2 year deal would have been. Saving them a chunk there. They need to make some strong moves though. Possible if Bosh takes less to stay there too.
I really thought Lebron would consider hitting free agency next year, where several teams would have cap space. He wants a Ring. No doubt about that, doesn't want to wait a year. Mean's he's hungry..and definitely going for his ring. He's a good business man.
May the best front office win tbh..
Which team will become the next artificial contender for the NBA title?

IMHO Cleveland is the only place he can go and not have reputation suffer like it has in Miami.
However he has the financial flexibility to go to any team in the league.
That is why other factors will be considered, like roster, coach, FO, and city.

Honestly if James says he doesn't like the media attention and the storylines about him, San Antonio is the best place for him :lol
Posted this in the other thread too:
If Lebron had waited to opt out until next year, the pipe dream would be more realistic. The Spurs would probably only have Splitter, Leonard, and a cheap FA signed this year under contract next season. Mills and Diaw would also be under contract if they re-signed. But there would definitely be enough cap space to make a run for Lebron next year when Ginobili and Duncan retire. Now it's next to impossible. Even if the Spurs let Mills and Diaw go, they still have to salary dump Parker or Ginobili + another player. That's not going to happen. Oh well, will just have to wait for Durant in 2016.

If as he says money is not a problem, he could take the MLE for one year, couldn't he?
Not that he would.

Won't go West, which leaves Chicago, Cleveland and Miami.
I'd bet on the Heat.

Not sure where he's going, but he's not signing with the Heat. I don't think he has it in him to tell D-Wade and Bosh they don't deserve the same or even remotely close to the same money as him. Can you imagine them sitting at the table, and saying ok let's all sign on for less, 15 million each. Not only that, he can see Wade's done.

Would love to see him come visit, walk the offices, practice gym, eat out on the town, just to scare the shit out of the rest of the League.
Can you imagine the media coverage?
Then we turn around and sign Bonner or Scola. LOL!
