In response to Mills hard work for Spurs this year somehow when negotiations are in the air, some Spurs management person lets it leak Mills may have a dodgy shoulder. Intended result of dampening Patty's value on the market is achieved. Mills should now realise business is business and dismiss any ideas of loyalty to the Spurs being a factor he should consider. Patty follow the money like theGod James.

Some media hack trying to make a story out of nothing. No one leaked anything that hasn't been known for a long time, so no reason to get upset.

Yeah, the extensive athletic tape he's been wearing certainly wasn't a clue. :lol

I thought that teams clear players medically first before signing them.

He's had the injury since college. He wears tape on it when it hurts. Gmafb

So why has someone made the shoulder an issue NOW. Spurs are playing hardball. Business is business.

Because no one cares about a minor shoulder injury to a bench player that a majority of NBA fans wouldn't know if he walked by them in the street, especially while he is able to play through it and play very well through it.

This "source close to the team" leak doesn't mesh with how well they were treating, wooing patty at the end of the season. And the report that he will play for the Boomers as quoted by their coach is also curious. I am glad this problem will solve itself over the next three months.

Lol "follow the money like James"

I guess people will be surprised when he signs a contract worth around 4M a year.

And in regards to his shoulder, There's no secret to be held. Once International play starts up he will either be on the court or he won't be and people will find out then if it's actually a problem or not.

Makes sense. The Spurs linked the oldest news of all-time concerning Mills to decrease his value in the FA :lmao

That injury rumor is complete BS. Patty's shoulder is fine. He even played basketball at a charity event today. No way he does that if he's getting shoulder surgery soon.

Plus, all the spurs beat writers I've asked on twitter have heard nothing about Patty's shoulder requiring surgery or anything abnormal with his health at all.

STFU wanker. Everything this franchise does runs contrary to your little hissy-fit. :rolleyes

Spurs will pay Mills up to 20/4 I would think, and that's more than enough to make him happy and keep him. If someone offers him insane money I guess they'll let him walk.

Spurs don't play hardball they offer you an amount you say yes and sign or you so no and they say bye. No hardball just plain business.

Best way to bargain is to make competitors think twice about buying a crock injured player.
