You guys definitely hit the spot on this one. He ain't no Embiid, Parker or Wiggins in potential but this boy is going to be a perennial All Star, he will be the 3rd best player in his draft 5 years from now. This dude is a workhorse and a beast down low. Ceiling of 23 and 10 with a standing vertical identical to Blake Griffin :lol

We hit the jackpot this time. :toast

I'm very pleased with the pick. He's a PF will great qualities....he would have went #1 last year and was a top 4-5 pick this year...So getting him at 7 was a steal for us....we needed a PF just as bad as a PG. If we can add Melo at SF and Kyle Lowry at PG and Marcin Gortat or Channing Frye at Center then we're a top 3-4 team in the West next year. We also need a shooter and Ariza backing up Melo would be awesome.

Fredo did good with this pick....

and remember Embiid is damaged goods he'll be another Greg Oden and we drafted Kobe at 13...and well he's just only the 2nd greatest 2 guard in NBA history

JR is also a wonderful finisher...for a big man he doesn't fuck around in that paint..he takes care of his business....if we can add a solid player like Gortat at the Center position it would be a perfect compliment....

JR is too dark. Low IQ. He'll make too many emotional mistakes on the court and ride bench a lot. Probably be fined a lot, maybe even suspended.

Gortat would actually pair well with him, but Marcin is 30. the lakers shouldn't be making moves that tie up their future cap with aging players

Really no one other than him to choose at the spot. It's not like Mitch and Fredo made a clever pick that no one else saw. They didn't fuck up, which is progress for them.

He's quiet too..it's always the quiet ones you gotta watch out for....he's mobile has a very strong low past game and is a good defender....his shot is what we need to work on..but MJ didn't have a great shot either...and Duncan's shot his first year wasn't all that great....he will work on it....too much pressure in LA to succeed...Kareem will teach this kid some real good things and Kobe will pay for his Hakeem 2 week camp tour :lol

You guys gotta worry about Kobe ruining this kid though. Kobe doesn't play well with others,,,especially rookies. He likes to degrade them and get them traded for vets who might help him ring.

Naahhh yall misunderstand Kobe....he leads by putting pressure on you....it's the same way MJ lead....Kobe's never had a top 5 pick and make no mistake JR was a top 4-5 pick tha twe flat out stole....Boston thought they were hurting us by taking Smart....but that PF position was was more crucial in my view...it's hard finding solid big men...we can find a decent to very good PG like Lowry...Boston fleeced themselves by worrying too much about the Lakers....

Yeah, this is a very safe pick. I don't see bust material in Randle, he's polished in college. Worst case scenario, he's plagued by injury but he'll give any team good minutes, minimum of 12 and 8 at the very least. He could blow up into an All Star once Kobe retires.

very low upside pick, it may be a stretch, but i'm fairly sure kyle anderson will be the better player of the two at the next level. I see ed davis all over randle, but could easily make a run for roy since the lakers are so bad. I think he will be a bust in the long run.

you've got to look where the nba is going now, randle may bully ncaa players, but the type is going nowhere in the nba right now, his small wingspan will kill him as a defender and he can't hit jumpers.. and if there's anything i don't consider as a criteria in the ncaa is rebounding. I've seen some david lee comparisons also, god there are little players i despise more..
