did not think about it and for me it's way premature but... no way I put Evra in (dude is a tosb motherfucker who can die in hell, I have 0 respect for him).

I would like a Tiago Silva / Raphael Varane in defense (not after the first games tho), I also like Janmaat and blind in defense, Neymar, James, Robben, Messi (Benzema if he can be decisive against Nigeria) must be in it tbh. Not a big fan of Pirlo there yeah he played ok but Italy is out and he has not been decisive at all. Ochoa is kinda fluke for me, I'm sure the Nigerian goal keeper is gonna somewhat have the game of his life against France. Not sold on the goalkeeper yet.

I almost put Varane (RMAO :cry) but Hummels has been solid, espcially when you consider Germany has been playing like shit

I hate Evra too, but he has been solid tbh

Robben has been great but his constant diving prevented him from making my list

Ochaoa may not be a world class goalie, but we are talking WC starting 11, and he has been great in this WC

If you look btw at the closest thing of a natural 10, Bradley is the only candidate even if he plays more in defense...

It's kinda crazy if you think about it this wc is totally empty of my favorite kind of player the 10s... where are the Platini, Zidane, Laudrup, Baggio...?

Maradona, Zico, Platini, Belloumi (yeah he was great), Francescoli, Cruyff (not wearing 10 but he was one), Zidane, Rivaldo, Hagi

Fuck, those guys were like Superman; playmakers, clutch scorers, spectacular

Damn the number 10 was such an iconic number

Neymar is a diving faggot who would rather go for penaldos rather than finishing in open play. I'd pick Alexis over him. I'd sell him over Alexis. Benzema has been solid

Ze Germans are solid. What I would not do is put Özil as CAM because he chokes dicks when it matters.

Nvm, if it's just picking them despite of how they've performed, then Neuer is your choice of keeper.

Performance and preference. It's an arbitrary, unofficial list. James undoubtedly is making a killing in the WC.

Well if that's the case, the Germans have been a little over rated on defense. Just based on how they've played, Neuer has been out played by Ochoa and Navas. Mert has been solid but I would put in Kompany. Everything else in your list, I agree with.

Brazil suggested Neymar for Benz. Hmmm, that's a toughie.

I'd go with 3 central backs, since fullbacks don't seem to be having an impressive tournament so far. There are few individual exceptions, but hardly anyone has reached Roberto Carlos, Cafu or Maldini standards.

3-4-3
GK: Navas
CB: Marquez
CB: Thiago Silva
CB: Yepes
RM: Cuadrado
CM: Kroos
CM: B. Ruiz
LM: James Rodriguez
RF: Messi
CF: Muller
LF: Robben

Subs:
Ochoa, Koscielny, Godín, D. Blind, Feghouli, Neymar, Benzema

Are you even watching the games? :lol

Messi is playing basically on the same line as Mascherano, everybody on Argentina is bitching about that. Maybe now that Aguero is out Messi can play in a more advanced position but so far he has played as the prototypical number 10, in fron of the 3 at the middle and behind two strikers just as we invented it.

No one is talking about Messi because Argentina hasn't played anyone yet. Hypothetically they might not play a Good team until the Semi-Finals. It's a monumental cake walk for Argentina. If Messi doesn't win in 2014, he never will

What Argentinian news?. You can't watch a game here in the US without some commercial/mention of him. It's actually pretty ridiculous.

Sure he has his cute little Lays commercial but the ESPN panelist are not bringing him up.

There has been more talk about Ronaldo: Assist vs USA & then sending them to the Knockout Stage with his goal vs Ghana

Messi hasnt been a true 10 in a long time, playing as a false 9 because , you know, Guardiola likes to run experiments
